The Introduction
Lady Catherine Bruce's Reel
There were 56 dancers at the party, which meant we could have seven Scottish sets, and three lines for English dances. There were more Scottish than English dancers, but they all had a great time. Barbara Finney, one of the MCs, said, "With an enthusiastic crowd, fantastic music, and a good program, how could anyone fail to have a great time?"
At the Intermission, Maggie Carchrie and dancers from her school, the Callanish School of Celtic Arts, demonstrated Highland dancing, Cape Breton step dancing, and Hebridean singing for dancing. We were all amazed at the grace and beauty of the dancers.
