Fair
Daffodil
by Nancy Ness
'Tis true the tulip and the rose
Resplendent beauty do impose
But once they're picked do quickly wilt
And soon as not return to silt.
The daffodil refracts the sun
With bounteous eyes on every one.
The secret of Fair Daffodil
She's stalwartly perennial.
She'll greet the vernal sun each year
With wisdom and eternal cheer....
