The key to a good discussion depends on the facilitators' ability to engage everyone in the conversation. Facilitating can be a challenge, if members are not eager to discuss the book. Here are a few questions guaranteed to make your discussions a spirited exchange of thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Who was your favorite/least favorite character- why?

Did you like the authors writing style - why or why not?

What were the most memorable scenes in the book?

Do you have a favorite quote or line from the book?

Did the characters in the book remind you of someone you know?

What were the authors key messages?

Did you recognize a reoccurring theme?

Were there any shocking events or surprises?

What was the turning point in the book?

How would you have handled some of the situations that occurred in the book?

 Did you learn something new?

Did you imagine a different ending?
