He sent out a message to all the different parrots, asking each kind of parrot to send one of their elders to be counted. He asked them all to come in two weeks.

Then he went looking for a big tree hollow. When he found one, he hopped inside and started scratching the inside out to make enough room for everyone.

It took him a whole week to make the hollow big enough. When he was done, he crunched some eucalyptus seeds and sat down to wait for everyone.
