After setting up my tent, I go to get my bearings - first thru the campground to their lookout, then across the reserve to the main shopping area to investigate services, identify visitor's centre etc. Everything is open until 9 pm, 7 days a week, so I decide to come back later. I use my free but incomplete map to hunt for lookouts, finishing back at Innalung Lookout at sunset. Uluru looks like a big rock. Must be a boy thing. To the west, the Olgas seem mysteriously exciting. I go back and explore the campground cooking and washing facilities which have all the comforts of home - the big outdoor kitchen area has vending machines, computer games and a T.V. set to U.S. sport. And one sink. After making dinner, I walk around some more then get out my sleeping bag to sleep under the stars.
