I just received my Macros 2000 7 in the mail. You should get one too - it's only a dollar. It got me thinking about the "macros" that my friends and I used to use so frequently in my school daze. I also realized that I am in the process of forgetting many of these macros, or cultural allusions / inside jokes that used to annotate our lives. Here's one I remember: when I was "in rez" and a bunch of us would be hanging out in someone's dorm room, inevitably someone would announce that they had to pee and proceed to get up and leave the room. Eventually a routine was developed. Whenever someone interrupted a conversation with "I have to pee" this retort came swiftly back, "Do you want a badge?" Then one of my dorm mates took the time to create a "bathroom badge" that became handed to the next "I have to pee" offender. And from this, this macro
