It's Over
Sometimes I wish you would say it's over
Because then I could get on with my life
But instead you keep leading me on
Saying you still want me as your faithful wife
I think it is unfair to play with my feelings
By saying you promise to make things better
You don't call when you say you will
You haven't even sent a letter
I get tired of hearing you tell me lies
I get tired of hoping that we will work things out
I can't handle the pain anymore
And that is what this is all about
You haven't done the things you said
Like get a job or pay a bill
You haven't called like you promised
And in return I have become very ill
I am worried sick about you
I am scared to death that you can't make it
I really don't want to lose you
But when it comes to the pain I just can't take it
You have your friends to hang around
So you really don't need me
I have our daughter to love
And that's something you can't see
You don't ask how she's doing and
You haven't made an attempt to be with her
As a father you should really care
Even if we're not together
Yes, you know that I'll take care of her
Yes, she'll get alot of love from me
But she still needs a father
Who will help give her all the love she needs
