This is a shot of the wetlands that compose the sound side of Topsail Island. I snapped this photo from the observation balcony at Tiffany's Motel.

The heavy cloud cover, admittedly, makes for a somewhat drab picture. But I think it enhances the generally gloomy nature associated with marshes and other wetlands.
