I watch as you lie
there
Your chest rises and falls in a slow rhythm
Your quiet breaths a gentle lullaby
A soothing whisper in the night
So many things I want
to tell you
So much I don't know how to say
The words a Sisyphean boulder
I cannot begin to move
So I sit there, sighing
Casting furtive glances
Wanting to tell you everything
And never saying a word
