What No One Else
Part One
I have seen
What no one else has seen.
I have heard
What no one else has heard.
I have tasted
What no one else has tasted.
I have touched
What no one else has touched.
I have spoken
Something no one else has spoken.
I know what I know
And what I know I fear.
I know I will die,
I know life is short,
I know I was born
An' will grow,
See, I know.
I have seen a dome,
A large dome,
Of fence, of gold.
I have seen creatures,
Whose lives are much like ours,
Who we rejected.
I have heard the voices,
Loud, strong voices,
Voices of our long rejected friends.
I have tasted the food,
Much food,
Of copper and bark.
I have tasted the blood,
The blood we've feared,
The "deadly blood,
The blood of long our rejected friends.
I have touched the skin,
Hard, foily skin,
The skin of the rejected,
I have touched the bars of brass,
The bars which hold them in,
I have opened the bars,
And set them free.
I have spoken their language,
Their alien language,
The language we have feared for so long,
I have made friends with the rejected.
I know the moon,
I know the people who lived there,
I know you will die,
I know, so will I.
