exhausting possibilities for every end that I find
hoping that I can sweep all the bad things away
trying not to think of taking on another day
listening...
hoping...
perceiving...
reaching out for comfort and praying that it's there
leaning back on nothing but the waves of timeless air
lifting one last step away from overcrowded rooms
breathing one last breath of the atmosphere that looms
exploring...
finding...
knowing...
finally looking forward at the peace that is to come
gliding into the sunset at the last beat of the drum
resting by the water as the streams flow by my feet
weary as the runner taking on another heat
sleeping...
waving goodbye...
the end of the day.
