Our family had long been dog lovers and owners but after a two year stint with no canine companions, it all began again in 1992 with a trip to Louisiana to pick up a zany young Airedale Terrier pup named Nicky (AKA Finlair's Sonic Traveler). We learned to groom him, dabbled in obedience and agility and became active in the local kennel club. Nicky was shown for a limited time in conformation and got his CGC. We also went to Ohio and participated in the Airedale Terrier Club of America's hunting training seminars. He's a great companion and busy guy who keeps the squirrels off the ground and occasionally will catch dove in our woods or excavate moles. |

THEN...
We happened to see a picture of a Spinone. After two years of research, investigating, traveling to meet various spinoni and their humans from Virginia to Florida, we finally decided a spinone would be a good fit for our household. In 1995 we brought home Kassie, a white pup, the daughter of two Italian immigrants, Izzy and Briciola. Kassie has given us much companionship, is certified by Therapy Dogs, Inc. and has been shown in AKC shows and is an ARBA Champion. In February 2001 she earned her AKC Junior Hunter title. With a Spinone and an Airedale we became known as "SPINAIRE". |
