Title: Mine Yesterday
Writer: Tammy Harrison

Oh true love...

Perceive mine words of resilience.
Downcast not, thine eyes
Upon me in despair,
Commiserating mine heart.
I have declined Yesterday's invitation
To dwell in sorrow.

Only I...

The survivor of mine Yesterday,
Has the ability to puncture
Sorrow's balloon of yore.
Therefore,
Having dominion
Over mine own destiny.

I beg of thee...

Despiseth not, mine Yesterday.
How it be,
Mine soul be scarred,
I am thankful.
For it's tear-paven path
Led me to thee.

Perhaps...

If mine heart
Was bestowed upon thee betimes,
A future of ill tidings could have awaited,
Bequeathing our existence
Into a shattered world...
Eternal.

Therefore...

I proclaim...I am thankful !
Yesterday's road of iniquity
Bound our hearts,
Leading us to the path
Of tomorrow,
Overflowing with reviviscence.
