I'M PROUD WHEN... I'm proud that I can drive the 3 hour trip each way to go get my 3 year old grandson and see his smile when I pull up to bring him home with me for a visit... Marge I'm proud when my grandchildren can say "Thanks, Nana for taking me to Wal-Mart." I have conquered my fear for a little while and the smile on the little faces makes me happy... Barbara I feel proud when I make progress. It can be doing home improvements, shopping in a store, entertaining company, or even catching up on my letter writing. Before drifting off to sleep, I count how many extra tasks I accomplished rather than comparing myself to people who don't have agoraphobia. I do the best with what I have to work with... Janet I'm proud of myself because I traveled to Arizona, Nevada and Mexico last month with my husband and fought the panic head on and won most of the time... Nancy H I get mad enough at the mental prison I'm in that's keeping me from enjoying life to the fullest. Then I just say, I'm not going to let this win, and I go and do the thing I feared, and I WIN that time... Ann I survived a test at school. I always like to reward myself with lunch... teesab A day goes by that I haven't had a panic attack....Each and every time I go out of the house and don't embarrass my family in public... Ariana I do something even when I think I can't ... JS I pull into my son's driveway and he comes out smiling and says "See you made it Mom" ... LINDA I face my fear and do something that I would've sworn I just couldn't possibly do ... GARY I am able to do something that my anxiety and panic has held me back from doing...Even a little simple thing like giving my children a ride can bring much joy!!!! ...
