We came upon rays of light
from a distant star
landed upon the waters
of a new planet
made love upon the tide
We evolved into a new form
protean, protein, protoplasm
prototypes for a race
called Life
We played
we grew
we divided

became a complex of cells
consumed our own bodies
to continue the growth

the race
