The George E. Todd Archive

This consists of over 20,000 colour 35 mm transparencies dealing with subjects as wide ranging as Archaeology and Geology, through Bavarian village life to motorcycles. In the Geology group there are examples of rock formations and Ice Age features, while Archaeology contains sites like Stonehenge, and other similar locations. The Archive includes a major collection of flowers, in particular Alpine species photo-graphed in western Europe (Alps and Pyrenees) Greece (island populations) Iceland, the Faeroes, east and west Greenland, north America including Canada. This flower transparency collection is of the highest quality suitable for use in botanical guides or similar publications. The Archive also includes a wide range of cities and landscapes from all these lands, as well as Native American sites such as Chaco Canyon, Aztec and Canyon de Chelly.

Many of the above were also photographed in medium formats (6x6 and 6x7 cm) and some in large (4x5inch) format. A similar number of images as black and white negatives - some dating back to 1953 cover some, if not all, of the above subjects. (Except flowers of course)
