George E. Todd - Publications

September 1981:	My first appearance in Hasselblad’s house magazine in # 68; Entitled Shapes and Structures, it was judged a great success by the Editor, who awarded me with a special Hasselblad Diploma.
October 1985:	Title page of the new Hasselblad magazine Forum (unfortunately the colour printing was bad; the Editor sent his regrets!)
December 1985:	Twice in the same year! In an issue dedicated to black and white, my piece was entitled It’s a Colourful World
June 1988:	On the inside back page. This was a single image with a short story. It is a puzzle that only one person has ever guessed correctly.
November 1991:	This issue included the first publication of some of my American Portfolio black and white images in a piece entitled: "I contradict myself" referring to my earlier "colourful world" article...
November 1996:	A winter in Tuscany gave me the chance to produce an entirely new portfolio, which Hasselbald printed beautifully - with text as usual in English, German and Swedish of course.

The no longer published, and much lamented, The Black and White Art Photographer gave me its front cover and several pages in Journal Four, September 1991. This was my first appearance in an English magazine.
Creative Monochrome’s new Photo Art International showed a few of my American images in Volume 2 issue 2 April-May 1997.
The year book Best of Friends 1994, by the same publisher, contained 6 of my black and white images. One of these (Works Entrance, Ornans) was selected by the film-paper manufacturer Ilford for use at Photokina 1996, and in promotion literature.

In March ‘97, the Royal Photographic Society published a story in the Photographic Journal, with 8 pictures, about the village I live in - Hochstadt, Bavaria. The Society’s Pictorial Group also published a Hochstadt piece in their magazine Visual Art, which was followed in the next issue by a short piece on Tuscany. This included some of the pictures from my recent Tuscany exhibition.

The Munich based Photo Technique International published bimonthly in German, and quarterly in English, is perhaps the most prestigious magazine in which my work has appeared. An American Portfolio appeared in this high quality periodical in the German issue 6/93 and 1/94 (English version.) Recently, the high profile Italian/English periodical ZOOM published several of my American Portfolio images in issue # 21, July/August ‘97.

Among other magazines that have used my pictures and stories, the Munich language teaching magazine group Spotlight Verlag has used Todd Images in many issues. These include a Grand Canyon series with front cover in Spotlight January 1992, along with a set of images taken in the Cote du Rhone area published in Ecoute, also in Jan ‘92, and several on the Cota Donana in Ecos June 1992. The most recent Spotlight published Todd Image was a title page picture of an Amtrak train in a story about American railways...
