Heath Bunting
What is normal? Isn't chaos sometimes exciting...definately for Heath Bunting. This english bloke spends his time doing a sort of performance art that is anything but ordinary. He orchestrated a stunt making all of the payphones at King's Crossing in London to ring at the same time. He now is compiling a list of every payphone on the planet to make them all ring at once. How did he do it? He gave the numbers out to friends over the web and gave a set time for everyone to call. Crazy. Another escapade is what he perpetrated on the Nike and Reebok web sites. He changed the links so if you were browsing Nike and you clicked a link you would automatically be at the Reebok site and see a posting "URL for RENT"... Brilliant. This is blatant abuse which will of course make it necessary for safeguards for web sites. When people get upset about the defacing of art in museums it is understandable, but in our times when visual communications are such a booming industry- the art gets lost and the commercialism thrives. Bunting creates the irony.
So What's next? He is planning a spoof involving security cameras in Toronto. To be continued...
