Confusion is now a common state of mind
The world of reality is being left behind
To catch myself before I fell I tried
But precious stability and security, I was denied
My heart is like dynamite ready to explode
No more of these feelings can I hold
I'm high on life and don't know why
It feels so good, yet I want to cry
I want to run and jump and dance and scream
Life has become an everlasting dream
I'm so content, yet I search for more
I just wish I knew everything I am searching for
The labrynth of life is becoming more complex
There's more to it than just lust and sex
But what it's all about, no one fully understands
The answer's not held in anyone's hands
So stop trying now to solve the maze
For it's always changing in so many ways
Instead settle down and take everything in
For there's no telling when this enigma will end!

Dusk 'till Dawn

We've come together like Day and Night.
Without both, nothings quite right,
but each is astounding in its own way.
While one is for work, the other's for play.
Day is bold and shine's with great pride.
Night is enchanting and has a dark side.
Day is revealing and often quite keen,
while Night is the protector of what remains unseen.
Day is warm and follows most rules.
Night is cunning and generally cool.
Though at times they must be apart,
Day and Night seem to share the same heart.
Together they meet at a natural pace,
both undefineable as the heavens embrace.
As they part and the sun disappears,
they say goodbye with misty tears.
But Day and Night will meet again at Dawn.
Our times together will never be gone.

F R E E

I can feel the winds of change twisting through the tunnels of my mind.
It whistles through the empty chambers that were once full.
All that is new is being absorbed.
Yet, all that is old is not being wasted.
There is a river of tranquility rushing through my blood.
Almost at ease, I think back in time.
No more turmoil or torture...it is a new season.
I have finally spread my wings and soared among the different channels of life.
With just the right things following me through this exciting adventure, I can stand proud and confident among any crowd.
I can hold my head high and say that I am free.
Free to be who I want...
Free to feel with real emotion...
Free to love what's always loved me.
Finally, I am free...
Free to be me!

The Flower

When most people see a flower
all they notice are its outer qualities.
For instance, its size, shape, or color.
If it's a beautiful flower, they stop to admire it.
However, if it isn't, they merely pass it by or possibly look down on it.
They don't realize that it too is a living organism and should be treated delicately.

On bright sunny days when admirers are out, the flower is proudly blooming.
But when no light is shining upon the precious being, and it stands alone, it hangs down and becomes wilted.

A flower is more than just beauty.
It is strong, for it hold it's head up to please others.
It is courageous for sprouting before nature says it's time.
It is a provider, for it supplies insects with food.
It is a cunning because it may mask poison in beauty.
It is unique, for there are no two exactly alike.
Overall, it symbolizes life and the human race because it too can be any size, shape, or color...
and because it is not always what you expect.

So the next time you look at a flower,
appreciate and admire it, not merely for its apparent beauty...
But more for the inner beauty it possesses.

Lost and Found

If ever there is a love to have
She's found the perfect one.
With the heart of a Saint
his persona is always sincere.
His actions are pure and innocent
but also fun, witty, and full of charm.
She adores his mere existence
and yearns to feel his touch.
Yet, she hesitates
for fear of flawing his perfections.
He is so precious to her,
and she cherishes the bond they share.
Though a love for him she has discovered,
it is lost in the virtues of reality.
She is teased by the playful temptations that he evokes.
The feelings he arouses cannot be ignored,
but just one taste can be quite costly.
Never knowing what to expect,
her heart is on a constant roller coaster.
She must question whether one love found
will prove another love lost.
It is justifiable if she believes
that several loves may coexist.
To love one is not the denial of loving another,
but it is the recognition of the uniquenesses
of two separate loves.
One love she shall taste and touch.
While the other she will treasure
and hold in her heart as her perfect Saint,
to be loved and admired from a distance!
