Dance of Darkness

Demons in my head
They want me dead
And I don't much care

Like a creature seeking slowly in the night
Creeping in and out of sight
Mixing the shadows with the dark

My souls been splattered
My demons been flattered
But this is not rare

My head left in my hands
Watching that girl dance
My head is so heavy its tight

The locks do not keep the demons from me
They go right through like they do not even see
See nothing but my head in my hands

Is this some sort of internal fear
Is this my worst nightmare
Staring at me with stark red eyes

No thats my demon, cleaning up my soul
He carries a match and a piece of coal
Why am I strapped to this chair

Lightning strikes my inner silence like a thief in the night
My body gives but my brain tries to fight
The demons give it a squeeze

As I fade to black
I remember one faint attack
And someone was watching
