(As paper drifted through the alleyway a cat jumped upon a trash can edge and begins to scurry through the garbage for perhaps a meal. This cat whips his head to the right to see a rat scurrying along the edge of building. With the reactions of prolonged hunger the cat is upon the rat. A SHADOW looms over this scene and the cat looks up and hisses at the shadow maker.)

SHADOW

"(said calmly) I don't want your dinner."

(The cat, sensing the sincerity of this, returns to it's rat. Seeing the SHADOW now as a silhouette we see it looking up to the to the clock tower of the police station.)

SHADOW

"There's something else I want."

(At that we cut to the interior of the clock tower not before we see the SHADOW on the wall seem to change.)

BROADWAY (v.o.)

"You know, you watch to much t.v."

HUDSON(v.o.)

"Aye, and you eat to much."

(Now in the clock tower we see HUDSON sitting on the recliner as BROADWAY is standing to the right front of him. BRONX is lying beside the chair. BROOKLYN is dabbling with something along with LEXINGTON. GOLIATH is not to be seen. He is still outside, thinking.)

BROADWAY

"No I'm serious. You need to get out more. Come on, we'll go explore the city."

HUDSON

"No. (pausing) This, this city is too much for me. To young for an old person like me."

ELISA

(having entered and walked to LEXINGTON and BROOKLYN. Both upon seeing ELISA cover up what they were working on.)

"Hun. Broadway still trying to convince Hudson to go out is he?"

LEXINGTON

"As always."

BROOKLYN

"You know Broadway's right in a way. Hudson needs to get out more. He might becoming to soft. I sure hope he didn't hear that."

ELISA

"Well, he is old but I think he still has an edge. (pause) So, what are you two working on."

LEXINGTON

(looking at BROOKLYN, visa versa)

"Oh..."

BROOKLYN

"...nothing." (Both have a childish smile on.)

ELISA

"O.k. So, where's Goliath?"

LEXINGTON

"Still outside."

(ELISA walks up to the exit to the balcony outside. BROOKLYN and BROADWAY return to what they were working on before they were interrupted. Outside ELISA greets GOLIATH. Off to the side we see a pair of animal like eyes that open wide with surprise but the curiosity before disappear to the left. Back inside we see that BROADWAY is still trying his best to convince HUDSON.)

BROADWAY

"Come on, Hudson. Just for a little bit. We'll look over the Statue of Liberty. How about we stop at the river your named after?"

BROOKLYN

(half said while looking at a piece of their project)

"Maybe we can catch a musical. They say the one with this talking candle stick is pretty good."

HUDSON

(slants eyes)

"Really lads. This city is much to, ah, modern for my taste. I..."

(HUDSON speech is interrupted when BRONX pops up and begins to growl at something in a far corner.)

HUDSON

"What's the matter boy? What do you see?"

BROADWAY

"A rat?"

(BROOKLYN and LEXINGTON join near them to see what everyone is looking at. LEXINGTON approaches where BRONX is growling at. From out of the shadow a large wolf, more WEREWOLF appears.)

LEXINGTON

"That's no rat!"

(The WEREWOLF starts to approach slowly. BROOKLYN'S eyes begin to glow as he goes into a fighting stance. HUDSON'S eyes grow large then slitted. He draws his sword and places it in front of BROOKLYN.)

HUDSON

"He's mine!"

BROOKLYN

(completely calm with hands up)

"O.k."

(HUDSON approaches the WEREWOLF as the rest back away. There is a quick eye exchange between the two before they are on top of each other. The brawling between them becomes intense as HUDSON flings his sword away and they begin again each being tossed about the room. The noise alerts GOLIATH and ELISA outside.)

GOLIATH

"What's going on in here? Hudson!"

(GOLIATH is about to go to the side of his mentor when he is blocked by BROOKLYN.)

BROOKLYN

"I-I-I wouldn't do that."

(GOLIATH looks towards HUDSON in confusion but stands his ground. ELISA does as well. HUDSON is tossed away but lands near his sword which he picks up. HUDSON takes aim and tosses the sword towards the WEREWOLF which is barely dodged and lands lodged into the wall. ELISA can no longer stand it and draws her weapon.)

ELISA

"Alright. I don't know what's going on but I know if you keep up all this noise someone's going to notice."

(The WEREWOLF turns to ELISA and see that her weapon is pointed directly at him. He steps back, as in fear, which gives the opportunity for HUDSON to body tackle him, pinning him to the floor. Softly we begin to hear a muffled laugh from the werewolf that begins to grow louder. HUDSON also begins to laugh. Everyone else is dumbfounded.)

ELISA

"Can anyone tell me what's going on."

(HUDSON and the WEREWOLF help each other up.)

HUDSON

(as if he didn't hear ELISA)

"I thought that you would of been dead."

WEREWOLF

"Me? Your the one whose suppose to. How, (looking over to the other gargoyles) How is this?"

ELISA

"Wait a minute. My question still hasn't been answered. What's going on here? And who, what are you?"

WEREWOLF

(now notices ELISA and others)

"Allow me to do the honors my friend. My name, in this time period at least, Wyatt Thornton."

LEXINGTON

"Are you, are you a werewolf."

WYATT

(bows fully)

"In the flesh. Though we prefer the term homo lupus."

(WYATT changes into a middle aged man before them. ELISA is shocked by the changing of WYATT and instantly raises slightly her weapon.)

WYATT

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy now with that thing! (ELISA realizes this and slowly puts the weapon away) Can't stand those things. Worst thing ever created by man."

BROADWAY

"Same here. (pause) Why did you attack Hudson?"

WYATT

"I didn't. I was just fooling around. It's not every day that you see a old friend... Eh, Hudson?"

HUDSON

"Yes, that's my name."

WYATT

"Name?"

BROOKLYN

"We all have names."

WYATT

(now himself dumb founded)

"Wha...? Names? Wait. Wait an minute, I'm lost. What's going on here."

GOLIATH

"As us are all. Perhaps if we sit and go about this in an organized fashion it will become clearer. (motions for all to sit) Staying Elisa?"

ELISA

"Sure, why not. (softly) This ought to be good."

(Time passes.)

WYATT

"...yes, me and, ah, Hudson, have been good friends for a great deal of time. Ages now it seems. I still remember the fights that we battles we fought. Some with enemies."

HUDSON

"Aye, those were the time. (pulling his hands around WYATT'S shoulder) He was around when all of you were hatched you know, lads."

LEXINGTON

"Really?"

WYATT

"Yes. I fact, (looks around at the others and stops at GOLIATH) I remember bouncing you on my knee."

(GOLIATH looks straight ahead.)

"Oh. It's amazing that you survived all these years until now. Here and now would of been the last place I would think."

ELISA

"But you survived. They were turned to stone for a thousand years. How did you survive. Are you immortal?"

HUDSON

"Werewolves are as mortal as you and we are it just they have a special way of dying. There is only one way for them to be killed."

BROADWAY

"A silver bullet?"

WYATT

"Hardy. I see that Hollywood has already gotten to you. No, you see, when a werewolf is born, to say, a object in the world is also made. Some sort of weapon or even a trinket. That and only object can bring a werewolf down. Silver or not it doesn't matter. I have know ones who were done in by a arrow made from a specific tree to a simple copper ring."

BROOKLYN

"So werewolves have some sort of magical base."

WYATT

"Yes, we were created by some magician to seek out or do the wishes of who ever has control over us. You might say, as with gargoyles protecting an area, werewolves seek out the invaders. Good, or evil as it was. But, it's been so long since, since anyone summoned one of us."

ELISA

"Are there many of you left?"

WYATT

"Hardly. I haven't seen another of my kind for a great deal of time. There was a great time in history was harsh on us. I believe you call it the Spanish Inquisition. We meant no harm, we sometimes had no control."

ELISA

"And you now?"

WYATT

"I. I now just live. I been spending my time in traveling, studies, and doing my human labors. It was on a recent trip that I noticed that all of you, and the castle, was gone. After a little tracking and looking through old records I found you."

LEXINGTON

"You said that all werewolves had some kind of object that was able..."

HUDSON

"Now what kind of question would that be, lad."

WYATT

"It's quite alright. It seems that I can trust all of you as did I trusted it with you. You see, it's an arrow head. A very special one. It is made of pure gold with some sand script one it."

(ELISA raises her head to this.)

WYATT

"I really can't remember what it says on it nor how it really looks. It's been such a while since the last time I saw it."

BROADWAY

"Someone attacked you with it?"

WYATT

"No. It was in my possession. After all, if you knew what was going to do you in wouldn't you hold onto it? Or have someone hold on to it for you." (turning to HUDSON.)

BROOKLYN

"You have this arrow head?"

HUDSON

"Eh, used to. (turning to WYATT) I'm sorry lad, I lost before we turned to stone for a thousands years. I'm sorry."

(Wyatt shows a little fear then replaces it with a smile.)

WYATT

"Ah, well, so be it. What you been through it would be expected. It's alright. I don't think it matters now. No one would know."

(ELISA here gets up.)

ELISA

"I hate to leave this all but I better go check in before people start wondering what happened to me. Goliath, can I talk with you later on tonight?"

GOLIATH

"I don't think so. I have something I must do."

ELISA

"Alright them. It was nice to see you, Wyatt. I'm sure we'll meet you again."

(WYATT gets up and does a gentlemen bow to ELISA.)

WYATT

"Till that time then."

(ELISA is flattered and heads for the door accompanied by GOLIATH.)

HUDSON

"Still the gentlemen."

BROADWAY

"You know we were planning to go out. Want to join?"

WYATT

"Well, I was planning to attend a concert tonight. I'm sure that there will be room in my "regular" box for an old friend.

HUDSON

(strokes his beard)

"Why not. It will give us time to catch up on old times. You lads wouldn't mind if we go alone?"

(already heading out)

BROADWAY

"Um, sure. (after they leave) Well, that was one way of getting him out. (another pause) I win the bet."

BROOKLYN

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I don't think that's covered in the bet."

(The three continue to argue as we move to HUDSON and WYATT are sitting on a hidden balcony at a concert hall. The concert is of a flute and other old style instruments. At first both are concentrating on the music.)

WYATT

"Remind you of anything?"

HUDSON

"Incredible celebrations, and brawls that went on forever. I didn't think anyone would remember these tunes."

WYATT

"Times do change, but through all of it history is not forgotten."

HUDSON

"I wish sometimes they would of forgotten the future and left the past alone. Specking of which, what have you been doing all these years?"

WYATT

"Oh the usually. Obeying summons here, obey summons there. Working but mostly learning. Gotten quite a trophy case. Degrees here, a M.Div. there and a couple of doctorants on the side."

HUDSON

"(With narrowed eyes) And what is that all suppose to mean?"

WYATT

"Well, nothing really. Just means I have papers that say I know things."

HUDSON

"Well, at least you been keeping yourself busy."

WYATT

"I suppose, though not these last couple of years. Since that last summons 83 years ago I haven't really been doing much."

HUDSON

"No others of your kind?"

WYATT

"The last one I saw was in 1986 in Washington. He wasn't summoned longer then I was. As like me, he was bored. Not of not killing of anything, but just being. (laugh) You?"

HUDSON

"Eh, this world isn't for me. To bright, to busy, to much. Though their television is good."

WYATT

(after there is sometime between the two silence.)

"Hudson, there is something I want to ask you."

HUDSON

"What is it, lad."

WYATT

(sigh) "It's been so long. Since, since everything. They never told us about the hidden curse. I'm alone, Hudson, I'm very alone. I know that you don't have it anymore but, if the arrow head does come across..."

HUDSON

"My friend..."

(Is stopped by WYATT look. Stares down at the musicians.)

"I can't make you that promise, but. If."

(HUDSON pulls over Wyatt who goes on and leans against him. The music continues on. The music stops suddenly as we see now a close up of a CD player with the word STOP on the display. A hand come in and hits the eject button and takes out the CD. It is David Xanatos. He wanders a bit and then sits down behind his desk. A moment passes and OWEN walks in.)

OWEN

"You called for me?"

XANATOS

"Owen. Has Demona been around?"

OWEN

"No, sir."

XANATOS

"And no sightings of the location of Goliath and the other gargoyle's hiding place. Hum."

OWEN

"Is there a problem sir?"

XANATOS

"Not really. I just wish I knew everything. Something big is going to happen, Owen. I can feel it."

OWEN

"Shall I have more security put up?"

XANATOS

"That won't be necessary. Besides, what's going to stop a attack from them. There has been major problems with the reprogramming of the A.I. for the Steel Clan which makes them useless for the time being." (There is a pause in this thought)

OWEN

(looking down at his watch.)

"May I remind you of the presentation at the museum at 10 sir."

XANATOS

(Not responding at first.)

"Of course, Owen. Perhaps something good will come of this day."

(Move to outside a museum. There are amount of people wandering, getting out and going into the building. A limo stops in front of the building. Inside, we work our way though the crowd till it opens up to Xanatos along with Fox standing next to a display case that has artifacts. One appears to be a shade of some kind. Something with a point.)

(The next night.)

(ELISA walks out to where GOLIATH is once again sitting outside on the ledge looking downwards to the street. ELISA doesn't say anything at first.)

ELISA

"Thinking about jumping?"

(GOLIATH doesn't respond.)

"I was just joking."

(ELISA hops up and sits on the ledge.)

GOLIATH

(said with so tiredness and if said a million times) "Please don't sit there. You might fall."

ELISA

"I'm a big girl. I can handle..."

GOLIATH

"Please. (a slight growl is heard)"

ELISA

"Alright."

(Walks to side of GOLIATH.)

"Goliath are you o.k. You been moody later. I like to know if something is wrong."

(ELISA places her hand on GOLIATH'S shoulder which he moves away from.)

GOLIATH

(without any backing to it.)

"I'm fine."

(Enter HUDSON and WYATT.)

HUDSON

"Las..."

(notices that there is something wrong.)

"Is there something going..."

GOLIATH

"(bursting out) How many times do I have to say it!"

(There is a really odd moment before GOLIATH leaps off the building and disappears off into the distance. ELISA, along with HUDSON and Wyatt, look completely confused.)

HUDSON

"What was going on?"

ELISA

"I don't know. One minute we were just standing the next, (gesturing out to where GOLIATH flew off) he became irate. You tell me? I never saw him like that."

(HUDSON brushes his beard and looks at WYATT who just shrugs his shoulder.)

HUDSON

"Well, let it be for now. If he needs help, he'll ask for it. It would be not like him to not ask."

ELISA

"I suppose."

(ELISA looks over to the street below. Fade over to GOLIATH sitting under a metal bridge watching the water flow by. Occasionally he looks up into the sky at the moon and the few stars. A siren is heard odd into the distance which he turns his head to but then returns his head forward and closes his eyes.)

GOLIATH

(said very softly, the words barely making past the lips.)

"Be quite."

(Returning to clock tower all are inside. Hudson is sitting in his chair with WYATT sitting across from him. LEXINGTON, BROOKLYN, BRONX, BROADWAY, and ELISA are sitting to complete a circle. ELISA is sitting in a chair backwards. There is taking among them as the time goes on and soon they break up and go about to do their separate things. HUDSON, LEXINGTON, WYATT, and ELISA stay where they are. ELISA looks around with concern on his face.)

ELISA

"(to WYATT) You said that some arrow head is your only weakness."

WYATT

"It is."

ELISA

"Then this might cause you for alarm. (Hands WYATT a newspaper) "The New York Museum has been running a display for about a month now with ancient weapons. Some articles were added last night. By Xanatos."

WYATT

"Xanatos? What so great about this Xanatos?"

LEXINGTON

"He's the one the broke the spell and set us free. Only to betray us when we altered his plans."

HUDSON

"He's a trouble maker he is. You don't think.."

WYATT

"That he has the arrow head. I highly dough it. Still, (concerned and curious now) It would be something it investigate. (Almost to himself) If the arrow is now gone, it would be wise to starting looking for it again. Hum. The New York Museum you say?"

ELISA

"It closes in an hour but, (look at them) with you guys I dough it means anything to you."

HUDSON

"Are you going to take a gander? I would go with you but someone has to stay here since Goliath and Brooklyn has gone off."

LEXINGTON

(like a small child)

"I'll go."

WYATT

"Why not. (Heading towards the balcony) You know where it is or should you just follow me."

ELISA

"Wait a minute. The ground floor is this way. How are you going get there?"

WYATT

"I'll climb and jump from rooftop to rooftop. How did you think I got in here?"

(ELISA just give a look of oh-of-course and WYATT and LEXINGTON leave with LEXINGTON waving goodbye. Fading over we see GOLIATH landing into Central Park among a large growth of trees and shrubs. There is still a troubled look on his face as he lands. He looks around, then hears around. Feeling content of his choice he sits down leaning against a tree. He is there for only but a moment when as scuffle is heard. Of to the right someone is being robbed. Goliath wearily opens his eyes to the sound but does nothing. He eyes flicker for a moment as this robbery slowly dies away. GOLIATH then returns to closing his eye, letting his head drop back and against the tree.)

(Back with WYATT and LEXINGTON. A sweeping shot as we see WYATT, in wolf form, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with LEXINGTON following behind. They soon reach the museum of art with LEXINGTON landing first and WYATT coming over the wall's edge next.)

WYATT

"Wings. I must remember to buy some of those the next time I go to the mall." (Changes into werewolf form.)

LEXINGTON

(looking into a skylight.)

"So how are we going to get in, through here?"

(WYATT looks in see that the skylight opens up to a Colosseum like hallway. At least four floors are between the window and the ground.)

WYATT

"Maybe it would be better if we waited till morning."

(LEXINGTON gives an odd look to WYATT, thinks for a minute, looking trough the skylight. Something catches his eye)

LEXINGTON

"How about we just go thought that window down there. (pointing through the skylight)"

(WYATT at first looks into the skylight and see below a open window between two statues.)

WYATT

"That's convenient."

LEXINGTON

"Come on."

(Cut to WYATT and LEXINGTON squeezing trough the open window. The window appears to be under repair. With equipment lying around here and there.)

WYATT

"Remind me to pick up a smaller body the next time I go to the mall."

LEXINGTON

"Don't move!"

WYATT

"What?"

LEXINGTON

"Motion detector."

(Pointing to a motion detector placed near the equipment. Both stand there until LEXINGTON gets the courage to touch it. Nothing happens.)

"Well, someone forgot turn the silly thing on."

WYATT

"That's odd."

LEXINGTON

"Not really. Considering the location of the window, why would they need it."

WYATT

"Right. (looking around) Now where to. Let's try this way."

(Both beginning wandering around looking for the display case. They finally come upon the display case that Xanatos was posing in front of.)

LEXINGTON

"I'm not surprised that Xanatos hasn't rocketed in here and stolen them back yet."

WYATT

(looking confused)

"What?"

LEXINGTON

"Nothing. Any of them look familiar?"

(WYATT takes a strong long look at them and passing his hand over the display a couple of times.)

WYATT

"No. None. (sigh) Didn't think so, but one should still be concerned. Come on, let's get out of here before we wake the guard."

LEXINGTON

"That was easy."

WYATT

"You know. Since were here might as well as look at other articles to see if perhaps it's in here. Never can be to cautious, you know. Especial now that I'm reminded of it."

(There is small conversation between the two as they wander between the room with WYATT "feeling" over each object. At one display of art as WYATT is studying artifacts LEXINGTON notices that there someone watching them in the shadow.)

LEXINGTON

(whispering)

"Wyatt. We have company."

(WYATT spins around to see a figure in the corner. The figure, slightly shorter then WYATT, stands there with no fear or intention to make a scatter. The only great detail of the figure that we can see is of it's eyes. It's eyes casually look over the two first at LEXINGTON then at WYATT. It's eye grow wide with fear but then into distaste. WYATT looks upon the figure with some confusion.)

WYATT

"Do, I, know you."

(The figure stood there for a moment then moved father back into the shadow. There are three clicks then three metal spheres fly out of the shadow. Two fly opposite of each other out of the room while the last towards the two. WYATT watches the figure make a dash out of the room which he notices that this figure has legs of gargoyles. WYATT is about to give chase when LEXINGTON picks up the metal sphere tossed at them and sees that there it is timed bomb with 25 seconds left.)

LEXINGTON

"It's a timed bomb!"

WYATT

"What!"

(looks at the bomb and then points to the right.)

"Quick grab that bomb!"

(WYATT and LEXINGTON dash off to grab the bombs. WYATT reaches his bomb and sees the figure taking a corner. Here he notices that this figure has gargoyle legs. WYATT dashes off towards LEXINGTON. Back with LEXINGTON, he had just picked up his bomb and was about to turn when WYATT, in a form of a large wolf, coming running in.)

WYATT

"Come on!"

(And picks up LEXINGTON and runs to the window that they entered in. Upon reaching the window WYATT turns into his werewolf form. Taking LEXINGTON'S bombs and his own and tosses them out the window which barely clear by a second before exploding with force sending the remaining parts of the window shattering. The blast also sends WYATT and LEXINGTON into the opposite wall. As the smoke clears we hear the alarm going off. There is some coughing from the two.)

WYATT

(very softly)

"Come on, we go to get out of here."

(Back in the clock tower. LEXINGTON'S wounds are being cared for by BROADWAY while BROOKLYN is caring for WYATT.)

LEXINGTON

(with distaste.)

"I'm fine."

WYATT

(in regards to trying to pull out a piece of glass from his shoulder)

"Ouch!"

BROOKLYN

"Sorry."

(Begins wrapping the wound)

WYATT

"Look all I'm telling you is that, who ever it was, knew that I would rather get ride of those bombs and not seeing anything destroyed then give chase."

HUDSON

"Did you get a good look at who ever this might be?"

LEXINGTON

"No. It kept to the shadows."

WYATT

"Though (unsure he wants to say it) when I went after my bomb, I didn't see human legs. They were more, gargoyles. I'm not saying that it wasn't any of you."

GOLIATH

(now entering the room)

"As you shouldn't."

WYATT

(in a sorrowful way)

"I didn't, but who?"

BROADWAY

"Maybe it's Xanatos with the metal body of his. You know how he did that before."

LEXINGTON

"It didn't sound like him. (pause) Perhaps it was Demona."

(WYATT head pops up)

WYATT

(very softly, not directed at anyone)

"What?"

GOLIATH

(again his voice sounds tired)

"Perhaps it is. Since the encounter with the Weird Sisters we haven't heard from her in quite a long while."

WYATT

(voice sounding harsh)

"Demona, the gargoyle! She's here, and alive!"

HUDSON

"Why yes, Oh, you don't know but she survived as well but she's..."

(WYATT howls .and tosses BROOKLYN off him and runs out of the tower. WYATT is halfway till the edge when GOLIATH takes hold of his shoulder.)

GOLIATH

"Wait! You can't..."

(WYATT turns and claws GOLIATH across his chest. GOLIATH screams in pain but continues to hold onto WYATT. There is a small fight which ends with GOLIATH grabbing and tossing, with more force then necessary, against the tower wall knocking the wind out of WYATT. The rest of the gargoyles, who were standing aside the battle, quickly take this opportunity to tackle WYATT. All except HUDSON who, when WYATT's head is clear, cracks the hilt of his sword against the back of WYATT's head sending him unconscious.)

GOLIATH

"Bring him inside."

(Back in the clock tower. WYATT is bound in chains in the lounge chair when he regains conscious. He begins to struggle when the tip of HUDSON's sword lays down upon his nuzzle.)

HUDSON

"I may not be able to stop you, but" (He taps WYATT's nose with the sword) "I can slow you down. Now lay still."

(GOLIATH walks near still holding his wounded chest.)

GOLIATH

"Is he awake? Good, now maybe he could explain himself."

(WYATT, still raging, does not answer. GOLIATH grows anger of this and puts his face directly into WYATT's.)

GOLIATH

(low toned)

"Are you going to answer or am I going to have rip it out of you."

HUDSON

"Goliath. Come on, now. He's not going to be able to answer you. I noticed when he becomes like this it takes him awhile to calm down."

GOLIATH

"Very well. I'll return when he does."

(GOLIATH flicks his nose before he walks away and out of the tower. Along the way BROOKLYN is standing with bandages for GOLIATH which GOLIATH pushes away. He flies off into the night. The other three turn to HUDSON with questioning looks. HUDSON returns the same look. He pauses for a moment.)

HUDSON

"You go do what you want, lads. I can handle Wyatt."

(Times passes. HUDSON is alone in the clock tower and is facing away from WYATT. There is a moment before WYATT, still in werewolf form, begins to speak.)

WYATT

"Hudson."

HUDSON

(turning but has his hand on his sword.)

"Calm are ye?"

WYATT

(pausing to make sure.)

"Yea."

HUDSON

"Still, I think I better leave the chains on just to be sure."

(WYATT facial expressions agree with the idea.)

"Now, what was that all about."

WYATT

(pause)

"Demona. She was my last summons. It was about eighty years ago, during the time of World War I. Basically it was a war that the whole world was involved in. Anyway, some rich Frenchmen announced my name and commanded, almost by accident, to destroy some gargoyle that had killed his daughter and son. I finally was able to corner her in an barn. We battled there with her almost at times winning. It was then that there was a loud explosion. It seemed that our battle sight was now the battle sight between the Axis and Allies. The whole countryside was turned over to the machines of war. Both of us, fighting between ourselves, now had to fight against the two armies. By the end of the battle, nothing was alive on that countryside. I myself was shot, in human form, and left for dead. After my wounds healed I went out to look for Demona. I could not find her and figured that she didn't survive. I didn't sense her nor when I questioned the two armies they themselves found or saw nothing. So, I concluded that she meet her faith thusly ending my summons. Now, now that I know somehow she survived, I, I have to find her and kill her. (pause) It's an incredible force that pulls you, Hudson. It makes us one minded almost foolish. I though I had control over it."

HUDSON

"Can you live without having to hunt her."

WYATT

"Yes, but it still must be finished. In the beginning we didn't stop till whatever was killed or we. We learned later to control ourselves. You can put off the summons but not forever. It must be done."

HUDSON

"Well, you might have to put it off. You weren't around. Demona, was once Goliath's mate."

WYATT

"Goliath's?"

HUDSON

"Aye, but no longer. She's gone mad and now wants to destroy him, and us."

WYATT

(back to normal)

"Terrific."

(Groups of wings can be heard. Notice that it is getting near dawn.)

HUDSON

"It's almost dawn. Goliath will have returned. (pause) It's going to have to be explained to him."

WYATT

"Will he understand?"

HUDSON

"Can't tell, especially the way he's been acting. It would be better if you did the explaining."

WYATT

"And get the wind get knocked out of me again? This is sort of a touchy subject. (pause) Hudson, there's no way around it. Soon or later, I'm going to have to killed Demona weather Goliath wishes it or not."

HUDSON

"I know."

(HUDSON turns to see sunlight coming through the doorway and then turns to stone. WYATT blinks twice.)

WYATT

"Wait a minute."

(Struggles with the chains then flops his head back.)

"great, just great."

(Time passes. Now located at a diner car/deli shop. ELISA and WYATT, in human form, are sitting at a booth drinking coffee. A waiter comes and places two sandwiches on the table.)

ELISA

"Thanks."

WYATT

"Um, breakfast. Or dinner depending how you look at it."

ELISA

"Good thing I came to say good night to the guys."

WYATT

"Yea. Though I would of just changed into my smaller human form."

(The person gives a strange look to both of them

ELISA

"Your sure it's o.k. that I let you lose."

WYATT

"Yea, yea. I'm fine. I'm not going to go bonkers and start tearing everyone apart in my path."

(The person now picks up his food and walks away.)

ELISA

"So, did any of the arrow heads match up?"

WYATT

"No, though I can't be for certain. Something felt like it. It was odd. One seemed like it but it didn't look like it. I didn't tell Lexington, still I would like to go and see again."

ELISA

"Dough it. The museum is closed until they figure out what happened there last night."

WYATT

"Well, it can wait."

(WYATT eats his meal as ELISA thinks.)

ELISA

"You know, Goliath battling with you doesn't sound like him. Seems to fierce for him. I don't know. I know you known Goliath for a only for a little while but for the last week or so he's not been himself."

WYATT "True, I haven't seen much of him but the reactions from him do seem odd. He seems defensive, angry..."

ELISA

"Depressed."

(Both look at each other.)

PART TWO

(It is night nearing dawn. ELISA and WYATT, human, are talking outside the clock tower. A yawn is heard from WYATT.)

ELISA

"One of the side effects of knowing these guys."

WYATT

"I've noticed. So Demona is linked magically to this Macbeth person, thusly allowing her to live though this ages but it also doesn't allow her to be killed. One would have to kill both of them to finish them."

ELISA

"It may be that only the two of them can kill each other."

WYATT

"Hum. This spell is complex and with a history. Still, there has to be a way for me to break it otherwise..."

ELISA

"Yea."

(Looks up into the sky.)

"Goliath should be return soon. Is everything else ready?"

WYATT

"The rest of the gargoyles are waiting. I talked with Hudson about our plan. It took awhile but he agrees."

ELISA

"I figured that Hudson would of been the hardest to convince upon his age. The other should be that hard."

WYATT

(Pointing to a shadow in the sky.)

"Look, here he comes."

ELISA

"Let's go inside."

(Inside the clock tower. All the gargoyles are surrounding Hudson who is sitting in the lounge chair. ELISA and WYATT enter and stand with the group. HUDSON raises to his feet as GOLIATH enters. GOLIATH looks around questioning at the group.)

GOLIATH

"Well. What is it."

HUDSON

"Goliath, we, all of us, need to have a talk."

GOLIATH

"About?"

ELISA

"All of us have been noticing that you haven't been yourself lately and we're all worried."

GOLIATH

"And?"

(GOLIATH begins to show anger. WYATT decides to bring out the big gun.)

WYATT

"Goliath, I know that we haven't known each other and we're not on the best of grounds right now, but if you would listen to me for a moment."

GOLIATH

"I have no time..."

HUDSON

(Placing his hand on GOLIATH'S shoulder.)

"Listen to him lad. At least for me. He knows what he's talking about."

(GOLIATH closes his eyes.)

GOLIATH

"Alright. I'll listen."

WYATT

"Goliath. What you are feeling right now can be considered as depression. It's a state of mind that overcomes someone when things become to much, or you are unable to adjust to things. I not sure but perhaps you feeling like this because jumping a thousand years is finally catching up with you."

(Pause, with no reaction from GOLIATH. WYATT continues.)

"I mean, from what I heard, you been through a great deal. Before your command never called for what you're coming up against. Bazookas are much farther then the crossbow."

BROADWAY

(whisper)

"Is he saying that Goliath can't lead anymore."

GOLIATH

(overhearing)

"No he is not." (goes silent again)

WYATT

"Goliath?"

GOLIATH

(thinks for a moment then heads outside)

"Wyatt, please follow me."

(The others look at WYATT wondering if they should be worried)

WYATT

"I'll be fine."

(Outside. GOLIATH is looking over the edge of the building as WYATT approaches GOLIATH. WYATT looks at GOLIATH for a bit then leans and looks of the edge of the building with GOLIATH. Silent.)

GOLIATH

"Its has been difficult. I knew something was wrong but I didn't think it would happen to me."

WYATT

"It happens to all."

GOLIATH

"Then what do you suggest."

WYATT

"Well, sometime away from it all."

GOLIATH

"I could let Brooklyn lead for the time being."

WYATT

"No. I mean quite a distance. Completely out of the city."

GOLIATH

"And leave the city unguarded?!"

(WYATT passes a look to GOLIATH.)

WYATT

"It's been protected a long time since you arrived. The city can wait."

GOLIATH

"What of the others."

WYATT

"Besides Hudson, the others don't know. That and Elisa."

GOLIATH

"I suppose we should then discuss this with the others. Come."

(GOLIATH and WYATT enter inside.)

GOLIATH

"My friends, it seems that our new friend and Elisa have a idea."

LEXINGTON

"What is it."

GOLIATH

"Gargoyles have always protected. It's within our blood. But being dropped into this new world, perhaps it is best that we withdraw from it. For only but a while."

LEXINGTON

"What do you mean?"

ELISA

"What you guys need is a vacation from all of this fighting. It's not good to be constantly being put under stress. Even I'm forced to take a vacation and I'm glad I do. It reengries me."

BROOKLYN

"Where would we go?"

WYATT

"I have a cabin in the forests of Montana. It's old but it quaint."

BROOKLYN

"A vacation? Away from it all."

HUDSON

"I suppose even these old bones need a longer rest."

LEXINGTON

"Neat! We'll be able to see more of this land."

(BRONX begins to bark.)

GOLIATH

"I still don't like the idea of leaving the city, this clock tower unprotected."

(Everyone sort of droops with this idea falling trough.)

BROADWAY

"We could always asked Talon and his clan to guard while we're away."

WYATT

"Yea, see. Problem solved. (pause) Who?"

ELISA

"I'll explain later."

(GOLIATH thinks for a moment.)

GOLIATH

"Very well. We shall go on, vacation. We'll leave tomorrow. Broadway, Lexington. Go and find Talon and ask them but don't pressure them. Elisa. Will you be joining us."

ELISA

"Time away from work, monsters and my partners weirdness. I wouldn't miss it. Besides, Captain has been pressuring me as it is." <IF THE AVOLAN BOAT TRIPS HAVEN'T SCREWED UP HER VACATION TIME>

GOLIATH

"Good. Now, where is this Montana and how do we get there."

WYATT

"Well, if we're leaving tomorrow, I suppose getting planes tickets and baggage claims isn't going to work."

BROOKLYN

"I really don't think I would of liked to be locked in a metal machine higher then I can fly."

WYATT

"We'll just have to find another way."

(Fade shots to next night. It is nearing dawn. Outside of Elisa's apartment building. All the gargoyles, ELISA, WYATT and TALON's clan are standing around a large horse moving truck. The windows have been tinted. WYATT is talking with the member of TALON's Clan that doesn't talk. ELISA and GOLIATH are talking.)

ELISA

"Sorry about the roughness of the van. It was all that we could find in short notice and could move all of you when your stone."

GOLIATH

"It will be fine."

ELISA

"We were planning to drive only during the day so it won't be so bad on you. The windows have been tinted so no one can see in."

BROADWAY

"I was wondering about those."

(BROADWAY is moving WYATT'S and ELISA's luggage into back along with some chairs and other nick nacks. TALON comes over.)

TALON

"Hope you have a good trip, sister."

(TALON turns to GOLIATH.)

"Hey, there. Get better o.k. Don't worry, they didn't tell me. I could just see it in your eyes."

(Both shake hands and GOLIATH goes into the van with the other gargoyles. TALON looks over to WYATT who is still "talking" with.)

ELISA

"Still hasn't said anything has he."

TALON

"No. Hope he's o.k."

ELISA

"I wouldn't worry. He's got someone like you watching him."

TALON

"Thanks. I still don't think mom going to believe this story."

ELISA

"Just tell her that I went to see our sister. I'm going to anyway. I'm going to spend a day with them and then hop on a plane to Arizona."

TALON

"She'll be angry that you didn't tell her first."

ELISA

"No she won't. It's mom. Like mom and dad haven't ran away without telling us before hand."

(WYATT ends his conversation and joins the two.)

WYATT

"An interesting man."

TALON

"Yes."

(Lays his hand on WYATT'S shoulder and brings his body to the fullest height. He looks like a father sending his daughter on her first date.)

"Take care of my sister now. Don't get her hurt, or anything."

WYATT

"That's, that farthest thing from my mind. Won't get a scratch."

ELISA

"Alright. (pocking TALON) Knock it off."

(Sun beams in. WYATT looks into the back and see that the gargoyles are turned to stone.)

WYATT

"Hum, nothing like first class."

(TALON closes the door.)

(We see the van driving down a road with forest on either side.)

WYATT

"Hum, hauling these guys is taking a little bit more gas then I thought."

ELISA

"Not like you have the money for it. I thought they guys eyes were going to fall out when he saw the size of your wallet."

WYATT

"Hey, being immortal has it points."

(Inside the cab.)

ELISA

"What's this?"

(holding up a package)

WYATT

"Some books of magic. Open it. Figured I could begin reading to figure out how to break this spell between Demona and Macbeth. I had them ship over from England from some friends."

ELISA

"Hey, Leo, Grif, and Uni!"

WYATT

"You know them?"

ELISA

"Goliath and I saw them when we returned from Avolon."

WYATT

"Avolon?"

ELISA

"Yep."

WYATT

(pause for a moment)

"Grif. He's dead. (pause) Isn't he?"

(ELISA smiles.)

WYATT

"Alright, now what did you guys do."

(Car goes driving down the road as the sun begins hitting the horizon in front of them. Fade to shot at night. All are hiking along a trail carry luggage and what nots. BROOKLYN catches up with WYATT.)

BROOKLYN

"You know. You're suppose to drive around those bumps."

WYATT

"I was thinking about driving straight up to the cabin."

BROOKLYN

"Ou. Good choice."

WYATT

"Here we are."

(The opens up to reveal a cabin that is sitting at the side of the hill.)

GOLIATH

"So, this is our vacation."

WYATT

"Just think of it as the keep back in Scotland. Only smaller."

(Return to New York inside the castle. Owen is working at his computer when there is the sound of gargoyle wings and a shadow looms over Owen's desk. Owen looks up then back at his work.)

OWEN

"Oh, it's you. We were beginning to wonder what happen to you."

DEMONA

"Shut up. I need to see your master. Xanatos."

OWEN

"I'm sorry, but he's in a meeting right now. If you wish..."

(DEMONA grabs OWEN and lifts him over the desk.)

OWEN

"Tell him that I want to see him, now! I have something that will greatly interest him."

(Back to the cabin in Montana. The next night. Long shot.)

HUDSON

"Check."

(Moving in. HUDSON is rocking in a rocking chair with LEXINGTON and BRONX next to him. LEXINGTON is lying next BRONX scratching him, making BRONX'S hind leg twitch like that of a dog when you scratch them in a certain area. BROADWAY is looking up at the sky. WYATT is looking over a chess board which play has begun. GOLIATH and ELISA are walking near the edge of the clearing.)

LEXINGTON

"It's really nice out here."

BROADWAY

"Kind of quite, though. No cars, planes, guns... So what are we suppose to be doing?"

HUDSON

"You're doing it right now."

BROADWAY

"No, really."

WYATT

"Really."

(WYATT makes a move on the board. HUDSON lazily looks over to the board, grabs and moves one of his pieces.)

HUDSON

"Check."

(WYATT sighs.)

LEXINGTON

(Getting up and heads towards the door.)

"So, we just sit around?"

(Stops and looks at BROOKLYN coming out.)

BROOKLYN

"Oh, come on. Get into the mood."

(All turn to see BROOKLYN with bib overalls on.)

BROOKLYN

"Come on. Let's go exploring. You want to come Goliath."

(GOLIATH and ELISA are nearing the porch.)

GOLIATH

"Um, no thank you. I was going to see Elisa off to her sister. Let me go get your luggage."

ELISA

"Thanks."

BROOKLYN

"Have fun at your sister's. You want check this place out Broadway?"

BROADWAY

(as he's getting up and in a farmer/hillbilly dialect.)

"Shouldn't we check on them chickens and feed old Betsy?"

(Both go flying off. ELISA walks over to WYATT.)

WYATT

"Ready?"

(LEXINGTON comes out carrying his laptop with cord in hand.)

LEXINGTON

"Where are your plugs."

WYATT

"I have none."

LEXINGTON

"None?"

ELISA

"It's called roughing it."

(GOLIATH comes out the door with ELISA'S luggage in hand.)

ELISA

"See, you back in New York."

(ELISA, WYATT, and GOLIATH leave. LEXINGTON looks at his laptop then at HUDSON.)

LEXINGTON

"Next time I'll choose where we go on vacation."

HUDSON

"Where? Disney World perhaps?"

(LEXINGTON gives a look at HUDSON. He puts down his laptop and then looks at the chess board. After a bit he, with a smile, makes a move. HUDSON looks down at the board, moves a piece.)

HUDSON

"Check."

(Fade to the van that is unhitched firm the trailer. WYATT is in the driver's seat with ELISA in the passenger's seat hanging out the window holding GOLIATH'S hand.)

GOLIATH

"Take care, Elisa."

ELISA

"You the same."

(The van drives off. GOLIATH watches the van drive away. Off to the side we hear rustling in the bushes. GOLIATH turns and sees a wolf appear out of the bushes. GOLIATH stands there waiting for the wolf to be scared off by his appearance. Instead, the wolf sniffs the ground, and sits down staring at GOLIATH.)

GOLIATH

"What do you want?

(The wolf turns to head back into the bushes but looks back at GOLIATH with tail waging. GOLIATH stares at the wolf unsure of what it wants. The wolf begins to make movements indicating that he wants GOLIATH to follow him. GOLIATH gets the hint and follows him into the bushes and trees.)

(After some time GOLIATH is lead into a small clearing by the wolf. An old Native American is sitting staring off somewhere. The wolf approaches the old man rubbing him which alerts him. The old man pets the wolf and turns GOLIATH.)

OLD MAN

"Greetings."

GOLIATH

"You not afraid."

OLD MAN

"Should I be? My friend here told me that the cabin was occupied again."

GOLIATH

"You know of Wyatt?"

OLD MAN

"I know not of Wyatt. My friend here seems to."

GOLIATH

"Forgive me. You act like you have seen other gargoyles."

OLD MAN

"My friend. Are you to be a gargoyle?"

GOLIATH

"But you do not show any..."

OLD MAN

"Come. Sit. Come on."

(GOLIATH sits still stunned that this man does not react in any way.)

"You're face shows troubles."

GOLIATH

(pausing)

"I've been having troubles."

OLD MAN

"Tell me."

(GOLIATH is overcome by the calmness of this man and begins to tell his tale.)

(Move to a shot of buzzing the pine tree line. Into the picture comes BROADWAY and the BROOKLYN play a sort of cat and mouse. Both are see how close they can fly to the top of the trees.)

BROOKLYN

"Ha! A little harder then flying around simple buildings!"

BROADWAY

"Not really. Whoa!"

(Brushes against the top of a tree.)

LEXINGTON

"Hey guys!"

(From above we see LEXINGTON coming in.)

LEXINGTON

"How about a little bit of Follow-The-Leader."

(LEXINGTON glides ahead of them and then dives into the trees. BROADWAY and BROOKLYN look at each other and with fun and not wanting to be beaten, they dive into the trees. LEXINGTON is moving around the trees with ease with BROOKLYN following second and BROADWAY last. BROADWAY is having the hardest time following do to his size. At one point BROADWAY loses control and not wishing to quit smashes through one tree branch. BROOKLYN looks back and begins to crack a smile when he get a branch into the stomach. BROADWAY lands on the branch and helps BROOKLYN up. LEXINGTON turns around and lands on the branch.)

LEXINGTON

"Hum. Size does matter."

BROOKLYN

"Yeah."

LEXINGTON

"Sorry about that I though you were going to make it."

BROOKLYN

"Well, I wasn't..."

(Softly a crack is hear in the distance. It's a gunshot.)

BROADWAY

(didn't hear the sound clearly)

"What was that?"

(LEXINGTON and BROOKLYN try to listen but hear nothing.)

LEXINGTON

"I didn't hear anything."

BROOKLYN

"Probably just a animal or something."

BROADWAY

"Yeah. I guess you're right. Maybe it's the city still echoing in my head."

BROOKLYN

"Come on. I saw a river a way back."

(All fly off.)

(Back in New York in the Castle. Xanatos is sitting at his desk looking at some papers. The door opens with Owen leading Demona in.)

DEMONA

"Leave us, stonefist."

(OWEN looks at her and then closes the door.)

XANATOS

"Well, look who decides to make herself known."

DEMONA

"Shut up."

XANATOS

"This better be important."

DEMONA

"It seems that we have a new enemy. An enemy that can be used."

XANATOS

"I'm afraid I don't understand."

DEMONA

"Have you ever hear of the werewolves."

(XANATOS leans back in his chair with a smile coming across his face.)

(Returning to the Montana with GOLIATH and the OLD MAN sitting around the fire.)

~~~have GOLIATH be on some symbolic dream question to help him understand that he is doing the best that is necessary.~~~
(Over shot of a river flowing. LEXINGTON is flying over the edge of the water and the balls up just as he comes over a waterfall. He falls along the edge and goes into a dive before he hits the pool below. He merges from the water shouting with joy.)
BROOKLYN
(Heard from above)
"Nice one!"
(BROOKLYN standing at the edge of the waterfall, does a swan dive with an added tumble. He merges from the water.)
BROOKLYN
"Olympics, here I come."
BROADWAY
"Cannon ball!!!"
(Both look up to see Broadway doing a cannon ball towards them.)
LEXINGTON
"Incoming!!!"
(There is a massive splash as both swim out of the way. BROADWAY rises up with a smile on his face which is returned with a hand splash from LEXINGTON. Both look around for BROOKLYN, who head is barely above the water, staring at something.)
BROADWAY
"Brooklyn?"
(BROOKLYN just waves them over, not moving from his spot.)
LEXINGTON
"What's going on."
BROOKLYN
"There's someone over there."
(Through the trees there is a flashlight beam bouncing back and forth. All of them move out of the water and find a place to hide. A minute later two men merge. One is carrying a large flashlight but both are dressed in camouflage and are carrying guns.)
FIRST MAN
"I tell you, I heard someone shouting."
SECOND MAN
"And I'm telling you, you think a rock can scream. It's your own stupid imagination and nerves. I beginning to wonder why I even let you come along."
FIRST MAN
"But there was! Someone shouting...cannonball."
(The trio look at each other but don't move their ground.)
SECOND MAN
"Yea, the deer are doing cannonballs into the river. I'm telling you one last time, if you don't quit it I'm going to lose you somewhere and then what are you going to do. Come on, I set some traps over to the east."
FIRST MAN
"Hold on, let me just get a drink."
(The FIRST MAN bends down to drink from the pool but stop short as he notices BROOKLYN'S reflection in the water. He jumps up.)
FIRST MAN
"Hey! Wait!"
SECOND MAN
(with anger in his voice)
"What!"
(The FIRST MAN looks across the pool and then back into the water. BROOKLYN has disappeared.)
FIRST MAN
"Nothing. Just wait up."
(The trio watch as the two men disappear into the forest.)
LEXINGTON
"Who were those people?"
BROOKLYN
"Hunters from the look of them and that rifle the second was carrying."
BROADWAY
"But Wyatt said that this was Federal Game Reserve." You're not to be hunting on this land."
BROOKLYN
"Well, it looks like they are."
LEXINGTON
"We got to do something about this."
BROOKLYN
"Whoa, wait a minute. We're on vacation remember. We don't have to do anything."
BROADWAY
"Still..."
LEXINGTON
"Still."
(BROOKLYN realizes as well.)
BROOKLYN
"No more then breath the air. Hudson, was right. Alright, but let's get the humans who guard this land to do it."
BROADWAY
"There was a ranger office at the outskirts of this land. I'll go and get some of the humans to get over here."
(BROADWAY flies off.)
BROOKLYN
"Alright so how are we going to work and keep them in this general area."
LEXINGTON
(with a sly smile on his face)
"Well, let's try to make it fun."
BROOKLYN
(sarcaticly)
"And snap. It becomes a game?"
(Fade to GOLIATH.)
*****work on later. All of GOLAITH'S past friends are floating in his mind and advising him and helping him on a sort of vision quest. There will also be a shadowing of Demona's death.*****
(Fade to BROADWAY landing at the ranger office. He lands on the roof first and looks into the office. No one is around. BROADWAY then enters the office. He closes the door behind him and then turns on the light. When the light turns on we notice that there is a large stuffed brown bear standing next to BROADWAY. BROADWAY turns his head and sees the bear and falls back in fright knocking over a table. He cringes for a second but the realizes that it's stuffed. He gets up and looks at the bear. BROADWAY puffs himself and growls at the bear in humor then moves over to the desk. He rummages through the the desk and then grabs a pen. He opens the top drawer. Inside the drawer there is stationary but a hand gun is placed on top of them. BROADWAY pushes the gun out of way with the pen, grabs a pen, and closes the drawer. He begins to write a note to the ranger but then realizes that he doesn't know the exact location and the handwriting is somewhat childish. He crumbles up the paper and looks into the drawers again. On the bottom left he finds some flares which he figures might come in handy and is thinking about how to use them when headlights appear in the window. BROADWAY runs around for a bit trying to decide where to hide and finally decides on behind the bear and curtain window. A moment later the door opens.)
RANGER #1
"Hum, I thought I turned out the lights."
(notices the pushed over table, dirt, and paper across the floor.)
RANGER #1
"What the... Auw."
(begins to pick up the table)
"You did this didn't you, Ed."
(BROADWAY, who was trying to make himself smaller with eyes closed, opens then to realize that he's not being talked to. Looking down at a plank at the foot of the bear and reading "ED" he looks at the bear and then figures why not.)
BROADWAY
(throwing and discussing his voice)
"Yes, I did."
(The RANGER #1 turns to look at the bear and then goes out the door to.)
RANGER #1
"Alright, Charlie. Ha, ha, funny. Come on out."
BROADWAY
(now moved the bear into the doorway.)
"It's not Charlie."
(The RANGER #1 can not see BROADWAY and is confused.)
BROADWAY
"Listen to me!!!"
(BROADWAY tosses the bear at the RANGER #1 who rolls away. BROADWAY takes this opportunity and jumps into the trees. The RANGER #1 starts to look around frantically trying to figure out what's going on.)
BROADWAY
"Listen, your land is in trouble. It needs your assistance."
RANGER #1
"Alright, alright. What ever you say."
(Another set of headlights appears down the road.)
BROADWAY
"Is that another of you?"
RANGER #1
"Um, yes. Yes it's Charlie."
BROADWAY
(using one of the flares)
"Take him along. Follow this light. Your land is in desperate trouble."
RANGER #1
"Sure, sure."
(The jeep pulls up next to RANGER #1)
CHARLIE
"Mike? What the heck happened? What's with Ed..."
MIKE/RANGER #1
"Charlie, just listen to me."
(getting into the jeep)
"See that red light? Follow it."
CHARLIE
"What? Alright, but if this is some trick of yours."
(The jeep drives off following the flares held by BROADWAY.)
(Returning to LEXINGTON and BROOKLYN. The two are watching the two men as they checking a trap.)
FIRST MAN
"Nothing. Come on, the next one is over that way."
(The two men begin to move off. BROOKLYN turns to LEXINGTON.)
BROOKLYN
"They're moving to far away. We need to keep them around the fall so Broadway can lead the humans to them."
LEXINGTON
"Let's block off their path."
BROOKLYN
"How? We really can't erect a wall."
LEXINGTON
"Perhaps we can scare them back."
BROOKLYN
"How? We don't want them to see us."
(LEXINGTON looks off to the side thinking, to BROOKLYN, to a tree, and then back at BROOKLYN. LEXINGTON breaks off a branch from a pine tree.)
LEXINGTON
"They don't have to SEE us."
BROOKLYN
(wincing at LEXINGTON.)
"Why am I not going to like this."
(Cut to a quick shot of BROADWAY leading the RANGERS into the woods. They have now abanded the jeep and set out on foot. Back to the two men.)
FIRST MAN
"Got one."
(He leans over a trap and pulls a small animal out of the trap. The SECOND MAN looks around. We see LEXINGTON sneaking a peek at the two before turn back.)
BROOKLYN
(v.o.)
"No. No, no, no, no."
LEXINGTON
"Come on, they already got something. Besides, you look great."
(We now see BROOKLYN with branches, twigs, and leaves hanging over him, in his overalls and hair. BROOKLYN has a pathetic look upon his face.)
BROOKLYN
"Why?"
LEXINGTON
"You said that we shouldn't be seen and we should be having fun."
BROOKLYN
"Who's having the fun?"
LEXINGTON
"Come on. Just scare them back to the waterfall. I'll do my part."
(BROOKLYN gives one more sigh before heading out. On the two MEN. As they are admiring their catch BROOKLYN jumps out and spreads out his arms.)
BROOKLYN
(softly at first)
"oh brother."
(Loudly and as deep and forbidding as he can.)
"Who dares disturb the safety of people."
FIRST MAN
"What the..."
SECOND MAN
"It's a ghost! I told you we shouldn't be hunting here! Run!"
FIRST MAN
"Wait a minute!
(the SECOND MAN has already run a little distance.)
Who are you!"
BROOKLYN
"um. Oberon! Protector of this wilderness!"
FIRST MAN
(cocks his gun)
"I don't think so. Oberon."
(aims his gun at BROOKLYN)
"I took Shackpeare in high school friend."
BROOKLYN
"Ah, Cotton tail, protector of all that is cute and fuzzy?"
(BROOKLYN dodges out of the way shouting for LEXINGTON. The FIRST MAN begins to fire upon LEXINGTON. LEXINGTON watches from above the SECOND MAN running towards him. As the SECOND MAN approaches LEXINGTON sends a branch down at him. The SECOND MAN barely dodges. landing on his back, staring up at LEXINGTON.)
LEXINGTON
"Boo."
(The SECOND MAN quickly draws and fires at LEXINGTON whom dodges. There a, somewhat, comical scene as the two MEN start firing at LEXINGTON and BROOKLYN in confusing not know who or what they are. BROOKLYN returns fire with a couple of bushes from above with cries of victory for Mother Nature. At this, even though BROOKLYN and LEXINGTON are somewhat in mortal danger, are having a great time. The fighting comes to an end when a bright light is shined on the two MEN.)
RANGER #2
"Hold it! Drop down your weapons!"
(The SECOND MAN quickly listens. The FIRST MAN pauses for a moment before tossing his gun.
(Cut to scene beside jeep. RANGER #2 is making a call over the CB while RANGER #1 settles the two MEN into the backseat.)
SECOND MAN
"I tell you, ghosts started attacking us."
FIRST MAN
"Shut up."
RANGER #1
"Ghosts. Yea right."
(shuts the door.)
"Just like the one that told me to find you. (to his partner) I'm going to get their gun. Their cuffed."
(RANGER #1 walks over to where the guns were dropped. One of them has been crushed, curtsy of BROADWAY.)
RANGER #1
(looks around before picking up the guns.)
"Um, thanks."
BROADWAY
(not seen)
"Hey, no problem."
(The RANGER looks around before turning away. The three are sitting up in a tree. BROADWAY smiles as he turns to the others with a smirk on his face.)
BROADWAY
"What's with the branches?"
LEXINGTON
"Let's go back to the cabin."
(Back at Xanatos's Castle. Owen is seen picking up Xanatos's head of his gargoyle armor.)
OWEN
"The one called Claw was seen hovering around the harbor, sir."
XANATOS
"Good. Make sure that Demona knows."
OWEN
"Yes, sir."
(OWEN hands XANATOS the head gear which he puts on.)
XANATOS
"This is going to be fun."
(Within the cabin. HUDSON and WYATT are studying a large piece of paper hanging on the wall with writing and drawings on it. Books are scattered all across the
room. HUDSON is flipping though a book. WYATT drops his pen and rubs his eyes. Moving outside BROADWAY, LEXINGTON, BROOKLYN, and BRONX are outside playing a game of baseball.)
LEXINGTON
"What have they been doing in there all week?"
BROADWAY
"I don't know. I can't figure it out."
BROOKLYN
"It's a yearbook. Come on are we playing are not."
(BROOKLYN pitches the ball which BROADWAY smacks. BRONX runs and catches the ball.)
LEXINGTON
"Out!"
BROADWAY
"That was foul ball."
(Move back into the cabin. WYATT makes a few more scribbles on the paper and then steps back and looks.)
HUDSON
"Is that it?"
WYATT
"Yes. It has to work."
HUDSON
"Then that's it then. Now that only leaves one thing left to do."
WYATT
"To tell the others."
(looks outside)
"Let's start with them."
HUDSON
(gets up and heads out the door)
"Lads! Come here! We need to have a talk."
PART THREE
(WYATT looks at the paper one more time before heading out the door. There is the scene where the sun rises and the falls. A few shots of the night to convey that it's getting late. At the cabin the week has ended and everyone is walking to the truck to head back to New York. BROOKLYN is twiddling a couple of large cones in his hands.)
LEXINGTON
"What are you doing with those."
BROOKLYN
"Souvenirs."
(Move over to HUDSON, WYATT, and GOLIATH. HUDSON gives a look over to WYATT and then quickens his pace to leave GOLIATH and WYATT alone. We can clearly see that GOLIATH is feeling much better.)
WYATT
"Didn't get to see much of you this week."
GOLIATH
"I was with someone. Your wolf friend knew him."
WYATT
"I still don't know who it might be. I thought I was the only one up here."
(WYATT waits for a bit trying to figure out how to explain what he must do to GOLIATH.)
WYATT
"Goliath, can I have a word with you."
GOLIATH
"Of course."
WYATT
(to HUDSON tossing a set of keys.)
"Hudson, here are the keys. We'll catch up."
(HUDSON catches the keys and give WYATT a look of sorrowful 'good luck'.)
BROOKLYN
(to HUDSON quietly)
"Is he going to tell..."
HUDSON
"Yes, yes he is."
(The four walk away leaving GOLIATH and WYATT alone.)
WYATT
"Ah... Well. Goliath there is something I have to tell you."
GOLIATH
"Yes."
WYATT
"Remember, remember when I went berserk and attack you."
GOLIATH
"There's no need for apologies. Hudson explain that you rage like that..."
WYATT
"Yes, well there's more. The reason I did that was because...because eighty years ago I was summoned...to kill Demona."
(stops. GOLIATH says nothing at first. WYATT continues on his voice unsteady)
"I know that you a Demona were once one but then something happened. And, and I also know that you don't want her to see her killed but.... I have to. I can't control it now, I must finish this summons. There's no way around it. It must be done."
(Again WYATT stops unsure what GOLIATH's response.)
GOLIATH
"She is protected by a spell. You can't harm her."
WYATT
"Not really. I think I figured out a way to counteract it. Goliath. I'm sorry."
(WYATT lowers his head half expecting GOLIATH's claw to come across his face. Instead WYATT feels GOLIATH's hand on his shoulder.)
GOLIATH
"Come. Let's go home."
(GOLIATH walks off to the others. WYATT stands there.)
WYATT
(softly)
"Damn."
(slowly follow GOLIATH.)
(Shots of truck traveling home with mixed in shots of some sort of battle with Talon's gang and laser blasts. Move to shot of the gargoyles flying off from a rental center, where the truck was rented to the clock tower. WYATT is not with them.)
GOLIATH
"It's good to be home."
BROADWAY
"Hope they remembered to water my plant."
(They all enter and mouth and eyes open at to what they see. MAGGIE, TALON, FANG are lying on the ground covered with blankets. CLAW is tending to the three. His head is wrapped along with his right arm.)
BROOKLYN
"What happened?"
(CLAW turns to the gargoyles with a sad look on his face and nods his head.)
GOLIATH
"Claw, you must tell us what happened."
TALON
(weakly)
"Goliath."
GOLIATH
"Talon. You're alright. What about the others?"
TALON
"We're alright. We're all alright."
HUDSON
"Come on lads, let's see to the others."
GOLIATH
"What happened?"
TALON
"It was Xanatos. Demona was there as well. They attacked us as we were patrolling one night. They just came out of no where. We were looking for him because they was randomly attack places or ourselves. There was no point to all of it. He wouldn't attack full force with us, almost playing with us. This last fight he came on us hard. We had to hide from him for some hours. We were so badly beaten that Claw had to fly us back one by one. He the toughest."
(CLAW gives a small smile to the compliment.)
GOLIATH
"There was no reason for his attacks?"
(TALON lays back for a moment thinking.)
TALON
"Demona mentioned someone or something. A werewolf?"
HUDSON
"Wyatt."
TALON
"Who ever it is, they want him bad."
GOLIATH
"Rest now. We'll take it from here."
(TALON lays down and GOLIATH motions HUDSON to step outside.)
BROOKLYN
"This is not going to set well between Goliath and Wyatt."
(GOLIATH and HUDSON talk outside for a while while waiting for WYATT to arrive. Later WYATT enters by the stairs. He looks upon the bed ridden.)
WYATT
"What happened?"
HUDSON
(entering)
"Xanatos and Demona wish to speak with you."
WYATT
"Could of just sent a note. (pauses, looks around) Goliath?"
HUDSON
"Off to get help from Talon's parents."
WYATT
(looking over to Talon)
"Great. First me and Demona and now this. Since I told him, he hasn't spoken a word to me."
HUDSON
"There were a few words between him and I."
WYATT
"And?"
HUDSON
"(sigh) It's hard to say. He understands what must be done but his emotions are also there."
WYATT
"I just seem to cause more trouble. (pause) Where did they say they want to meet."
HUDSON
"The abanded warehouse on Pier 36."
WYATT
"Fine. If that's what they want."
HUDSON
"You're not going alone."
WYATT
"It's me they want."
HUDSON
"I'm not letting you go alone."
WYATT
"Yes you are!"
(Turns half way into a werewolk)
"This is my problem that's becoming yours. Hudson, you have nothing to do with this. What Xanatos wants with me I don't know. Whatever it is, it will end tonight. Alone."
(WYATT leaves.)
(Warehouse 36.)
(WYATT, in werewolf form, enters though a side door. He walks about looking around with cation. He moves to the second floor. There is a wide open area lit up by the moon from large roof windows. Off to the side there are clicking sound. Wyatt turns in fighting stance. Out of the shadows comes HUDSON.)
WYATT
"What are you doing here? I said I was going alone."
HUDSON
"That might be true."
GOLIATH
(coming out of the shadow)
"But were not going to let you."
(The rest of the gargoyles come out of the shadows. GOLIATH approaches WYATT.)
WYATT
"This isn't your battle."
GOLIATH
"Yes, it is."
(WYATT gives a smile and takes GOLIATH's hand. There is metallic clapping sound off to the side. All look off to the side. Out of the shadows comes Xanatos in his armor. Face uncovered.)
XANATOS
"Well, isn't this touching."
WYATT
"Xanatos, I presume."
XANATOS
"The one and only."
WYATT
"Let's get this started. What do you want?"
DEMONA
(coming out of the shadows)
"Not you, we."
XANATOS
"I believe you two know each other."
WYATT
"Her name is sounds familiar. I'll deal with you later, Demona. What I want to know is why you Xanatos."
XANATOS
"Call it a Trump card. I know of your kind."
(WYATT has a concerned look on his face.)
"The Illuminate thinks all of you are dead. I must say, you pulled off the ultimate deception. The complete secrecy of a race. Not bad."
WYATT
"You're dead."
XANATOS
"I figured you might do that. Stand right there. I just need to confirm something."
(XANATOS lifts his arm and the laser muzzle appears. The end begins to glow.)
WYATT
"A flashlight? Ow, I'm scared."
BROOKLYN
"Um, Wyatt..."
(XANATOS lets go with the laser. DEMONA also fires. WYATT and the gargoyles scatter for cover. BROOKLYN and WYATT ducking behind some barrels.)
WYATT
"Those are new!"
BROOKLYN
"Wonderful aren't they!"
(Four of robot gargoyle come crashing though the sky windows.)
BROOKLYN
"It's starting to get crowded in here."
(A shot from one of the robots sends BROOKLYN and WYATT flying. WYATT shakes his head clear.)
WYATT
"(seriously) I'm glad I didn't come alone."
(Looks over and sees that Demona is approaching.)
DEMONA
"We meet again half breed."
WYATT
"Yes. I do believe I have unfinished business."
(WYATT changes fully into a werewolf and attacks DEMONA. The gargoyles are busying fighting the four robots and XANATOS. DEMONA fires upon WYATT with her laser. One shot hits but only seems to push WYATT away, almost like a bite from a small bug. DEMONA keeps firing the gun all the while turning a dial between hits.)
DEMONA
"It's not working, Xanatos!"
XANATOS
"Keep trying!"
(XANATOS fires upon WYATT)
"It has to be there somewhere!"
(One blast hits WYATT but as with Demona's it does not affect him. BROOKLYN and LEXINGTON manage to get one of the robots to follow them. Just like in the forest BROOKLYN leads one to fly into a steel beam. It falls to the floor immobilized. XANATOS turns to see that BRONX is charging him. He opens fire upon BRONX who dodges at the last second letting the laser blasts to hit the robot that was chasing BRONX.)
XANATOS
"Oups."
(Flies off before BRONX is on him.)
(GOLIATH and HUDSON have one chasing them. HUDSON dives off and the robot continues to chase GOLIATH. GOLIATH circles around to see HUDSON at ground level waving behind a corner. GOLIATH gets the hint and flys low to the ground. GOLIATH makes sure there is enough space between him and the robot. As they get near the corner, GOLIATH lands quickly sending the robot flying over him. When the robot reaches the corner HUDSON thrusts from around the corner a steel pipe that pierces though the robot. HUDSON gets pulled a bit hurting his arm but is able to move away before the robot explores. Almost immedially HUDSON rushes to aid WYATT. BROADWAY finishes his robot almost by accident. He went to grab a support beam to take a fast turn but it broke sending part of the above floor onto the robot. BROADWAY lands near the robot which shut down.)
BROADWAY
"That will work."
(HUDSON joins up with WYATT who was able to hide from DEMONA.)
WYATT
"I'll need some time to recite the the chant."
HUDSON
"There's only Xanatos and her left. We'll make you the time."
WYATT
"I'll have to be in sight of Demona."
(HUDSON jumps out and charges DEMONA. A blast passed HUDSON and hits the box that WYATT is hiding behind. WYATT twiches at the pain and then shows a suprise look upon his face as if that shouldn't of hurt that much. LEXINGTON and BROADWAY help HUDSON. GOLIATH, BROOKLYN, and BRONX fight XANATOS. During the fight, HUDSON and BROADWAY are able to pin DEMONA. WYATT begins his chant. A strange glow begins around WYATT.)
DEMONA
"Release me! What are you doing!"
(Demona is able to break free of the two and starts to charge WYATT but before she can reach him a burst of energy comes from WYATT and hits DEMONA. All stop and watch. It encases her and lifts her above the ground. A beam stretches from the glow about her out of sight distance <this beam links up with Macbeth, see note at end>. The beam pulses for a moment before snapping with a flash. DEMONA and WYATT fall to the ground exhausted.)
WYATT
"You know what happened. You can feel it. You are no longer linked with Macbeth. It's time to end this summons."
DEMONA
(slowing realizing what has just happened)
"NO!!!"
(XANATOS becomes interested in what just happened. He turns to watch. Bronx begins to charge him and without looking to the side, shots BRONX with his laser.)
XANATOS
"This could be interesting."
(DEMONA has regained her laser gun and begins shotting and resetting as before. XANATOS keeps the other gargoyles at bay. GOLIATH fights back but unsure who to fight for. WYATT is able to knock the gun out of her hand. They fight hand to hand. As they draw near the edge of a balcony WYATT gets DEMONA in a bears hug. Both lose balance at the edge and tumble over. DEMONA screams as they fall which sickly stops as they crash into a pile of metal on the floor below.)
GOLIATH
(sickly, sadly, with shock)
"No!!!!"
(WYATT rises slowly and howls loudly. All gather around the edge except GOLIATH who flies down and takes DEMONA in his hand. She opens her eyes and looks upon GOLIATH.)
DEMONA
(weakly)
"My love..."
(She closer her eyes and dies. GOLIATH wraps her completely in his wings and cries softly. WYATT, unusually quite, lays a hand on GOLIATH's shoulder.)
WYATT
"I'm,...sorry."
XANATOS
(heard from above)
"So it ends."
(WYATT looks up at him and quickly climbs to the top.)
WYATT
(with anger)
"You."
XANATOS
"Stay."
(and fires with the laser gun. It hits WYATT likes DEMONA's did. WYATT begins to approach XANATOS as he fires and resets the gun.)
WYATT
"I'm getting tired of this high tech. fly swatter of, AHHHH!"
(A blast from the gun hits WYATT in the shoulder that sends him backwards screaming in pain. The wound seems to sizzle.)
XANATOS
"There it is."
(WYATT, fighting back pain of the blast, gets back to his feet.)
XANATOS
"It's feel different from any other wound you had in a long while doesn't it? Almost like a certain arrowhead."
(XANATOS blasts WYATT in the shoulder. The same reaction occurs.)
XANATOS
"Only 25% of the power too. You see, I did my own research. It's seems that my society has records of some of your people's weaknesses. Yours was there as well. One hunter wrote down an description. It with light with a warm feel to it. As a side note he noticed that it burned your hand if you held it to long. I figured it was radiation. So I did a little checking, narrowed it down to a field, and took a chance."
(holds up the gun)
"Guess I bet right."
(Fires again on WYATT hitting him in the leg sending WYATT howling in pain, currling up into a ball. HUDSON comes to his side.)
XANATOS
"Sort of ironic. The radiation has no effects on humans but disasterous results for you."
(Sirens can be heard gathering outside.)
XANATOS
"Let's just say you owe me one."
(XANATOS flies off.)
HUDSON
"We got to get out of here. Come on lads, easy now."
(LEXINGTON, BROOKLYN, BROADWAY, help carry WYATT out. GOLIATH follows slowly with DEMONA.)
(Police cars surround the warehouse.)
(Time passes. A couple of days. The clock tower.)
(v.o.)
ELISA
"It's called an sanbrao. You put it on your head."
(Inside the clock tower. BROOKLYN has a sanbrao on his head. HUDSON is in his chair studying a cactus. ELISA wait until the other gargoyles go over to see how TALON and the others are doing to talk with HUDSON alone.)
ELISA
"So, how is everyone taking it."
HUDSON
"Eh, the best as can be. The younger are handling it."
ELISA
"And the older."
HUDSON
(strokes his beard)
"It's an odd feeling. I watched her grow...like a father."
(ELISA gives an reassuring rub to HUDSON shoulder.)
ELISA
"What about Goliath?"
HUDSON
"Hum? Oh, he's out talking with Wyatt."
ELISA
"Is it alright?"
HUDSON
"Wyatt didn't come around since he killed Demona. One night he was around when we woke and Goliath and he went out to talk. Both were well. I think they just need to talk."
(Fade to GOLIATH and WYATT on top of a pillar on a bridge. They are both staring at the horizon along the water. WYATT is in his werewolf form. They have not spoken since they arrived.)
GOLIATH
"Your wounds are healing?"
WYATT
"Yes."
(looking for something to say)
"Did you see Demona away?"
GOLIATH
"She was buried in accordance to our ways."
WYATT
"I'm sorry. For not being there."
GOLIATH
"Don't. It's not necessary. You did what you needed to do."
WYATT
"Still..."
(Both go silent. GOLIATH pulls, from his back, the laser that Demona used on WYATT. WYATT looks on in cation.)
GOLIATH
"I went back to the warehouse and came across this."
WYATT
(Not as concerned, as if deserving it.)
"And you're planning to use it."
GOLIATH
"I thought about it."
(Tossing the gun over the edge and it falls into the river.)
"We all have our paths and vengeance is not in mine."
WYATT
"Thanks for coming to help me."
GOLIATH
"It's what I would do for a friend."
WYATT
"Friend?"
GOLIATH
"I know what just happened will cause some awkwardness between us. Still, I would be glad if you would be part of our clan."
(GOLIATH offers his hand in friendship. WYATT smiles and takes GOLIATH hand.)
"That is if you don't have a clan of your own."
WYATT
"It will be fine."
GOLIATH
"Come. Let's return to the clock tower."
WYATT
"I'll meet you there. I have something I must do first."
(WYATT watches GOLIATH fly off. WYATT still has a look that he is still in blame. He turns and walks out.)
(Fade to shot of the castle.)
(V.O.)
XANATOS
"You like it?"
WYATT
(sarcastic)
"The most magical place on the Earth. What do you want?"
(Inside the castle. XANATOS and WYATT are seated on either side of a large dining table. OWEN is serving them.)
XANATOS
"Come now. You're a guest here. Enjoy yourself."
WYATT
"I'm only here to see why you know of me."
XANATOS
"Yes, and your kind. The Illuminate figured that you were all destroyed. But it only seems it was trick. Bravo. Image, if you will, if the Illuminate came to know that you all still exist. And not just any werewolf, their leader."
WYATT
(rising)
"I'll just have to make sure that doesn't happen."
XANATOS
"Now, now..."
(XANATOS and OWEN pull out laser guns and point them to WYATT.)
"Sit."
(WYATT sits back down.)
"Good boy. They're set at 50 percent now. No need to be hostile here. All I want to do is have a talk. Take my word, only Owen and I know of your existence. Trust me, the society doesn't know."
WYATT
"From some reason, I believe you."
XANATOS
"Good and they will not know."
WYATT
"Then what do you want."
XANATOS
"Since I do not have the summoning spell, I have to ask you of this. If you say yes, you may leave and the society will have no knowledge of you. If you say no, you may leave and the society will have no knowledge of you. Grant me the immortality you have. Make me one of you."
WYATT
"You don't know what you're asking for. You'll never die."
XANATOS
"Of course I do and that's the point. I can do things for you, say forgetting the radiation setting of these weapons. How about if you just think it over? Owen, if you will show our guest the way out. Keep in touch."
(WYATT heads for the door.)
"One more thing, before I forget the settings. I was wondering if you can hunt someone for me. Might as well, for as soon as he hears what you did to Demona he will surly come hunting for you. He will be a worthy opponent."
WYATT
"I have no time for you simple vengeance..."
XANATOS
"Vengeance? Call it erasing an mistake. His wits are superior and strength farther then Goliath. You'll be doing a lot of people a lot of favors. I fear him along with Goliath and, if the world ever fully finds out, they will fear him too."
WYATT
"Who is he."
XANATOS
"Goliath's step brother."
(WYATT looks harshly at XANATOS and leaves.)
OWEN
"Do you think he will hunt Thalog?"
XANATOS
"He better. From what I've seem and heard, he's the only one who could possible do it."
(The clock tower. Silhouettes dance along the face of the clock.)
