Aerial

So soon I find myself smitten.
Sunlight hair and lips like a peach,
Arms twisted over curves of silk,
Legs bent and blushing, uncovered, exposed.

And yet with simple text and distracted ploys
She mimics and toys me.
Brazen, uncertain, invincible regard.
A tease, with taste like honey.

She is a shimmering image
Like rain from dusty, broken eyes.
With sounds of distanct voices
Like reason in a world without lies.

So I sing with whispers my words of song,
Sing my echos failing.
Tease and taunt, console with thought
My virtual kisses are nothing.

You present me with gifts, your lightened heart.
You soothe me with laughter, my love.
And even now, when my arms wish to touch you,
When my lips move to taste, my lungs to
Breathe your voice, a million times over
I sign, alone, at my dusty desk with
Faint blue illumination from flickering screen.
