Not Another Night

Olive evening darkening
So softly you turn away
And blind me.
Loss of conversation
To bended backs and broken
Thoughts.
You cover the phone to talk to me
Change the tune and dance, dance, dance
'Till morning light
Break the livingroom windows.

Tom's Notes:

Written at 1 in the morning the night before an entire journal of poems were due, this one actually caught a feeling of frustration and avoidance often found in many a "healthy" relationship. No real story to pin this one on, but I do think it actually mixes my relationship at the time and some sort of fictitous relationship online.

I've always been fond of dancers.
