The Challenge

More from my personal mythology. The crow-goddess is ticked off now...

Oh God of Moses and Abraham,
are you more sacred than I am?
Oh you who claim you made the stars
You know I know what you are

Tell me, if your endless love
Is assured to those above
Why then do your people flow
To my temple here below?

Oh Accuser, Hades' lord
Why are you famed and not ignored?
True, you do not serve in heaven
But you rule only what you're given

Who would turn to you in need?
You only torture those you lead
To turn them from their god you should
Offer, not flames, but something good

I see the white and the dark throne
Still I do better on my own
Father, tempter, ghost and son,
Why should I kneel to anyone?
