Purgatory

Life is death
and death is me.
I breath life
into thee.
You drink deep
the deadly air
while life and death,
equal, share
the hopes and fears
within thy mind.
Now I hope fears
of another kind.

Life and death
you both have seen.
I lie somewhere
in between
light and dark
and day and night
(light makes laughter
while dark breeds fright).
If life is golden
and death is blue,
then I am a shade
of a different hue.
