AGRIMONY
Keywords: Mental torment behind a brave face.
The Agrimony individual appears carefree and humorous, but this is
merely a mask for the worries, anxieties, and torment they try desperately
to conceal from others (and sometimes from themselves as well). They
dislike being alone and are quite sociable. They seek company as a
distraction. They prefer to make light of things and avoid confrontation.
These individuals have a tendency to cloak their discomfort with drinking,
drugs, or food. The positive aspect of Agrimony is someone who is
truly cheerful, good company, and who communicates their feelings
openly. They view problems in perspective, are tactful peacemakers,
and have found a true sense of self-acceptance and joy.
ASPEN
Keywords: Fear and anxiety of an unknown origin. For
those seized by sudden fears and anxieties with no specific cause.
These individuals may be very nervous or anxious. This remedy is often
used in the case of waking from a bad dream, though these unknown
fears and anxieties can happen in the day or nighttime. The Aspen
individual is often hypersensitive and has an overactive imagination.
Often these individuals are afraid of confiding their fears to other
people. The positive aspect of Aspen is inner confidence, security,

BEECH

constantly critical, judgmental, and intolerant of other people's

friends and can be very lonely. The positive aspect of Beech is a

CENTAURY

folk are easily trampled by more domineering types. They are anxious
to please and do not stand up for themselves. It is not unusual to
find them in relationships with domineering spouses, bosses, or parents.
Although often dissatisfied with their state, they find themselves
giving in out of subservience rather than out of a sense of cooperation
or teamwork. Rather than risk a confrontation they will go into an

energy as they are drained by others. This remedy is also useful for
weakness after a prolonged illness. An individual with the positive
aspects of Centaury would be someone who serves willingly but maintains

takes to attain it.
CERATO
Keywords: Constantly seeks advice from others.
These individuals do not trust their own judgment or decision making
abilities. They sense what they want and need but constantly seek
advice and confirmation from others. They will actually follow advice
they know is wrong for them rather than trust themselves. These individuals
can be irritating and draining with their constant questions. They
may appear stupid or gullible. When ill they tend to try successions
of treatments and remedies, never giving any a true test by sticking
with one that they know has a potential of working. The positive aspect
of Cerato is the trust to follow one's own inner wisdom, quiet self-assurance,

CRAB APPLE
Keywords: Sense of physical
or emotional uncleanliness. Crab Apple is the cleansing essence.
Any individual who feels a need to be cleansed (in thought or their
physical being) will benefit from this remedy. There may be elements
of self-disgust. Crab Apple may be indicated for those with eating
disorders. Symptoms may take the form of obsessive compulsive behavior
(housecleaning, hand washing, or obsession with details). Anyone who

ELM
Keywords: Sudden overwhelm.
The negative Elm state is usually a temporary one suddenly overcoming
usually strong people. Elm types are usually in positions of responsibility
looking out for the welfare of others - parents, therapists, doctors,
etc. Elm is appropriate when these normally capable individuals feel
suddenly overwhelmed by the tasks at hand and therefore feel inadequate.
This state often strikes when too much responsibility has been taken
on and not enough private "selfish" time is taken. They
may feel exhausted and depressed by this apparent loss of abilities.
The positive aspects of Elm is restoration of one's own capabilities
and assurance. Problems take on perspective.
GENTIAN
Keyword: Discouragement.
Gentian is for discouragement, pessimism, or a negative outlook.
This individual can get very depressed when things don't go their
way. This depression always has an identifiable cause ("I can't
seem to bounce back from that car accident ..."). They may actually
be making progress in an illness or difficult situation but are unable
to see that progress and are disheartened. This remedy may also be
helpful for depression due to a long term challenging situation -
bereavement, chronic pain, unemployment, learning disabilities, etc.
The positive aspect of Gentian is the realization that setbacks are
merely obstacles and that there are no failures. There is a conviction

GORSE
Keyword: Hopelessness.
The Gorse individual may have given up the fight. There is great
hopelessness and despair. They may have a chronic illness and have
been told that there is nothing more that can be done. They feel condemned
to their suffering. They will try new modes of treatment but only
to please those around them. Gorse positive aspects are a sense of
hope and faith. The individual feels happier and brighter despite
their illness and may be able to view it as a positive experience
from which to learn. In milder cases, they feel a hope for recovery.

fears the loss of control - either in a physical or emotional sense.
They fear losing their temper or even losing their mind. They are
usually high strung and oversensitive individuals. This individual

suicide. If this is the case, therapy should be sought. The positive
aspect of Cherry Plum is a calm, courageous individual with inner
strength. This person realizes the dark and light of their personality

CHESTNUT BUD

This individual tends to repeat the same patterns without learning

future decisions. They often suffer recurrent ailments but do not

or in school. Positive aspects of Chestnut Bud are the ability to

CHICORY

controls and manipulates their loved ones. Their care for others is
self-centered and manipulative. They expect others to conform to their
values. They are openly critical, interfering, and nagging. They can
be quite talkative, opinionated, and argumentative. They demand constant
attention, dislike being alone, and are easily offended. They often

aspects of Chicory is the person who cares for others unselfishly.

CLEMATIS

state of Sweet Chestnut is an agonizing mental anguish, "the

WILLOW

Willow in the negative state exhibits symptoms of bitterness, resentment,
