Five Minute Poetry Game.

My best friend, Kari, once introduced me to a friend of hers who had invented a game that she liked to call the Five Minute Poetry Game. Her name is Kim. In the space of five minutes, you were to write a poem on whatever the subject was at hand. What follows is the five minute poetry section.

But first is our tribute to Kim - - you can actually sing Kim's poem... just pretend that you're a little girl performing a Gregorian Chant.

Kim

Now I've never claimed to be much of a poet, but if you have the time to waste reading this, I have the time to waste typing it.

Fromage   an ode to traffic

God Bless the USA an ode to Jack Kerouac

Tradition! an ode to the Niagara Falls

You Don't Make Me Nuts:  the poem that John should have used when he proposed. Nervous? Need poetry for your proposal? Come one, come all, let Kari, Cecilia, and Kevin write one for you. (This one took a little longer than five minutes... it took a whole happy hour. I think that you can gather than when it's read, however.)
