Warren Beatty made headlines over the summer when it seemed that he would make a stab at the Oval Office. However, it seems that is not going to happen; 2004 may be the time. Sadly, it seems that the nation is going to go directly against what Mr. Beatty has been saying and they are going to select a "Middle-of-the-Road" Democrat, namely Al Gore. Even Bradley who is only slightly left seems more and more out of the picture. McCue has to admit that at this point in his life-- when his ability to write seems to be failing him and there seems no hope on the sleep front-- he was truly hoping that Mr. Beatty would run so that he could sign up as a volunteer and begin to see the workings our legislature from the inside (McCue plans to make a stab at Congress himself when the time comes (can you believe he is thinking of taking the LSATs this spring just for the hell of it!!)). In the meantime, McCue is going to start building that REDS site that he has been talking about. |
Reds is a fine piece of work. In the days and weeks to come, I think that I am going to be talking more and more about that film on this website. Hell, I am even thinking of posting the term paper I wrote on it. I am very skeptical about the fact that people may steal it and start handing it in to universities all over the country. It's a damn fine paper if I may say so myself. I suppose if emailed I will send a copy out... if you seem respectable. In the meantime, it is suggested that you check out Peter Biskind's Easy Riders Raging Bulls. Biskind's book proves little more than smut--McCue wrote a review of it, and he will gladly mail it to anyone upon request--however the only person to escape Biskind's condemnation of 70's Hollywood is Beatty. Hell, one could even say Biskind has constructed the book between Bonnie and Clyde and Reds. |
Though there is really no point, Mr. Equinox wants to be sure that you at least have the opportunity to travel back Home.
