I is for Imagination

The mental faculty which forms images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses, and of their relations (to each other or to the subject).

Mina had just finished putting on David's blindfold when he thought he heard something downstairs.

"What was that?"

"What was what?"

"That noise downstairs."

"I didn't hear anything--that must be your imagination."

The night air was cool, and David could almost feel the moonlight bathe him. Mina went to close the window, and that's when he heard it again: like the steps flexing under someone's weight.

"Mina, I'm sure I heard something, someone on the stairs."

"I really think it's just your imagination. There's no one else in the house. Now just hold on for a second"--she chuckled--"I'm going to get into something a bit more comfortable." She reached over and tweaked his right nipple, hard.

"Ouch!" David cried, and waited for her to return. For minutes that seemed like hours, he heard nothing. Finally, he heard the familiar sound of her leather pants, creaking sensuously and clambering into bed with him. "Oh, Mina, thank god it's you!"

"No," came Mina's voice, from the opposite corner of the room, as David found something warm and latex-covered pressing against his lips, "that's just your imagination."
