Portrait of the Artist as a Young CatRev. Basil's Page: The Life and Times of A Contemporary Columbus Cat

Greetings!

My name is Basil Conley, and I am in fact a legal minister, though how I became so is a long story and I won't relate it here.  I don't have a congregation at the moment, which suits me, as I prefer to keep my options open.  Napping takes up a lot of my time, and I am deeply involved in birdwatching as well.

Prior to relocation, I regularly attended the King Ave. Presbyterian Church, where I made friends with the nice minister and members of the congregation, and discovered that communion wafers are delicious!  I think it was then that I realized my true vocation - gourmet.

Guardian Cats: Phoenix and I Protect the House from Things on the WallProtecting my family from mysterious happenings and noises is an important priority.  My Pseudo-Sister Phoenix and I used to patrol the house together looking for anything mysterious or suspicious.  Things hovering on walls without visible means of support are always of interest.

These days, since Phoenix has moved on in search of greener pastures, I am assisted by two small and silly kittens named Percival and Mira.  I am told that Mira looks like me; personally, I don't see it.  Percival is tan with white stripes, fine if you like that sort of thing.  I'll put up a photo when I can, if you insist.

So that is me, and this is my life - a bit dull since my trips outside have been curtailed, and I can no longer attend church or greet patrons of the King Avenue Coffee House.  But someday, my humans tell me, we will live in a place safe for cats to wander and roam.
A Good Hiding PlaceCan't you see we're trying to sleep???
