James C. Christensen
James C. Christensen is my Favourite fantasy artist!! His work is as incredible in its way as David Rankine's. His detail is so minute and finely done that he can cram up to 50 faeries in one picture! Every time you look at one of his paintings, you see something new. His creatures can appear delicate and monsterous at the same time. He has a quirky sense of humour that leads to paintings entitled "Gerome Spent His Free Time Daydreaming of Being Reincarnated as a Snake" and "Lawrence Pretended Not to Notice That a Bear Had Become Attached to His Coattail" :0) . He has three books published through Greenwich Workshops - "The Art of James Christensen - A Journey of the Imagination", "Rhyme and Reason" and "The Voyage of the Bassett", all three of which I highly recommend. He has this strange fascination with fishes -- they are his trademark image -- I think he must have been one in a past life :0) .
The Following are some of his paintings, more can be found in my Fae Fantasy Art Gallery
