
End of July 2000. Hint with these pictures: if it's covered in snow, it's probably part of Jungfraujoch; if it's not, then it's a view from Jungfraujoch. Just to satisfy your curiosity, there are three major peaks in this area: Jungfrau (virgin) is the highest, Mönch (monk) is in the middle, and Eiger (ogre) is below the monk. As someone told me, the monk stands between the ogre and the virgin. Go figure. So if you want the best view, try to mount the virgin.
