BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Caleb Sherman and Sarah Anthony Caleb Sherman was born July 24, 1736 in Swansea, Massachusetts to Richard Sherman and Lydia Wilbore.
Sarah Anthony was born April 04, 1747, also in Swansea. She was the sixth of eleven children born to John Anthony and Lydia Luther.
28-year-old Caleb and 17-year-old Sarah were married in Swansea on February 24, 1765. During the next decade or so, the American colonies would declare their independence and begin the Revolutionary War with Britain. Concurrently, Caleb and Sarah would have seven children:
Sarah (Anthony) Sherman apparently died somewhere in the eight years following the birth of her son Wilbur as Caleb Sherman married a woman named Anne Bowers in March 1784.
Caleb reportedly died in Pittstown, Massachusetts on December 27, 1822 at the age of 86.
