Canadian Pictures
One year abroad in Vancouver
For one year, I studied and lived in Vancouver, Canada. I don't have enough space to keep all the pictures online, so here's a small selection of pictures of this time. Thanks to Samson, Michael, Milla, Grace, Janne, Caroline, Christina, Lars, Mark, Scott, Christina, and Tintin for making all this pictures!

University of British Columbia: The Campus

Here are some impressions of the huge campus of the University of British Columbia, which lies on a promontory at the Pacific Ocean.

Vancouver, British Columbia: The Town

Vancouver is a very beautiful town, surrounded by mountains and the ocean.

Fairview Crescent: Roommates and Friends

I lived on campus, at Fairview Crescent, a student village, and shared a flat with Grace (from Taiwan), Caroline (from France), and Arem (from Korea). Benjamina (a tree), Pozzo (a poor cat), and Curious George (a monkey) lived also in our apartment.

Campus Life: The Film Society

The film society of the university screens four different movies a week at the Norm, a movie theatre in the Student Union Building.

International Students: Orientation Events

The International House organized a couple of events and orientation sessions for the new international students. Most of teh trips were organized by Scott, our fearless leader (who is not often on the pictures since he took most of them).

Some Trips and Events with Friends

Here are some few pictures from a couple of trips we did around Vancouver, as well as from some events at UBC.

Great Friends: International Varsity Christian Fellowships

On Thanksgiving, I met a bunch of nice people and joined them for a couple of events and trips; here are some pictures of some of them.

Down the Westcoast: A Christmas Trip through California

Over the christmas holidays, Michael, Samson, Martin, Charlotte and me did a trip down the west coast along San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles.

Some Links

There might be more pictures online. Take a look at Samson's, Graeme's, Dirk's, Tim's and Michael's pages. I also have all the pictures from the former version of this webpage still on my harddisk (about 25MB), as well as all of Samson's pictures from California (about 450MB).
