The Sunken Park
The city fades down to a hiss
As I walk down into the park.
I think of all the things I miss
Like you and kissing in the dark.
The air smells fresh and green and new
As I sit down beneath a tree.
I think of walking here with you
And how with you my life is free.
The sun smiles warmly on my face
As it shines down from way above.
I want to be in your embrace
And feel your lips kiss mine with love.
