Die Widmung - Botho Strauß
I took a seminar on this Author. Out of the books we read I liked this one the best and used it to write my paper.on. It is about a man who is jolted out of reality when his girlfriend leaves him for no apparent reason. He decides to document all of his thoughts and feelings in a dedication 'Widmung'. which he hopes to give his girlfriend once (if) she returns. Interesting book.

The Sorrrows of Young Werther - Johann Wolfgang
von Goethe
This is an all time classic which I would recommend to anybody who likes to be moved by what they read. I read this book five years ago during the summer. The ending is very tragic. When this book was first published Werther quickly became a cult figure. His character had such an impact on some people that the commit suicide after his example. |

Der Verdacht - Friedrich Dürrenmatt
When I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. I think that all of Dürrnmatt's writing is interesting. This particular story is about a retired detective who is trying to track down a Dr. who commited war crimes in a concentration camp. I would recommend this one.
