Myrt and Burt are sandhill cranes who visit us six to ten times a day to see what is available at the bird feeders. Burt will eat out of our hands but Myrt is more cautious.

Myrt is more curious than Burt, and Burt sometimes gets a bit huffy.

This Egret is an unwelcome visitor who comes here just to fish in our pond.

This pair of mallard ducks visits us in strange ways. There is a trio of mallards. The female often arrives with a young male. The young male is promptly driven away by an older male who becomes her companion -- until she arrives again with the young male.

Mrs. "T" is a gopher tortise who visits fairly regularly. Mr. "T" visits as often as Mrs T, but we have never seen them together. On the right Mr. "T" is racing to his burrow after we caught him eating our latest gourd plant.

We have lots of birds visiting us all of the time, including Hawks who prey on other birds. No matter what we do the Hawks ....
