A Bit About Us

Since our retirement we have lived in several different places in South Florida. We even tried living in New Mexico and Texas. Now we are settled in Central Florida and have developed some new interests, mainly to keep us from thinking about moving again. This page shows some of our ongoing interests.

Yolande with her horse Hobo BORDER=Our first incubator.

Yolande also enjoyed her horse "Hobo" when we lived in Miami. Curt enjoyed the other animals, especially the chickens.


Our next boat, a Searay

Our next boat was a SeaRay that slept four and had a nice kitchen. We unknowingly sold it to drug dealers and had lots of fun with the DEA when the boat was found with drugs aboard that the new owners claimed we had left there

Hobo Too, our boat at Isles of Capri, was a great Robalo. Here Yolande is taking it out for lunch at the Riverside Inn. At right, Curt is standing in front of our dock at Isles waiting for Yolande to return.


Part of our dock at Eagle's Nest

We had a 150' dock built at our first home in Eagle's Nest (Lake Placid, FL). The dock went over a canal and through the cypress trees to Lake Istagpoka. This is the raised bridge at the beginning of the dock to allow boats to go under our dock.

When we moved to New Mexico we learned that it is NOT hot all of the time in the desert. We had some nice pets there

Our Round House in Texas

Our "round house" in Rockport, Texas was a perfect circle situated on two canals at the entrance to Salt Lake and the Gulf.

Point O' Woods

Our house on Point O' Woods, Inverness, FL was on the edge of a large lake.

These four large trees at the front entrance of our home on Davis Lake Drive in Inverness, Florida all had to be removed in June, 1999. Yolande was not thrilled about losing the trees, but we had no choice because of wind damage to the tops of the trees. On the right is the back yard at Davis Lake. There are some tall oaks and some citrus trees, but you cannot see them in this picture. Look hard and you can see the seawall and boat.

Our House in Spring Hill

In the early summer of 2000 we moved to our 15th home -- on Town Court in Spring Hill, Florida.
