Hello, welcome to the Pirch Experience. This Newbie's.exe auto setup file is to help with new pirch installations, and was scavanged from many different sources, mainly the Whisper 0.92 by La0Tz3 and [Secret] for Pirch32 v 0.92 ...along with other pirch pils and scripting, all writen by very talented fellow pirchers. You'll probably get into the many pirch pils and scripts as you progress in your pirching, for now see your pirch help file on what they are.
If you're reading this, then you've extracted the files and folders to your hard drive. next...

1. Do you know how to move/copy files from one place to the other? Now ifin you don't, you can learn this by checking out your windows help files, and you will be doing this using the windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer. 8-)
You will need to copy/move all the folders and files FROM the Newbie's directory TO your pirch32 directory...you will NOT be moving the whole Newbie's directory...just the folders and files IN the Newbie's directory...to your existing pirch32 directory...and to accept any windows prompt asking if you want to replace the files that will be replaced by the Newbie's files and folders.

2. You must do this OFFLINE. With your pirch32 program closed...and after all the Newbie's files and folders are copied/moved to your existing pirch32 directory, you can then delete the Newbie's directory from their hard drive.
After doin all this...you will next startup your pirch32 program and will need to reload your new irc, aliases.paf and events.ini files again...into their tabs above your screen. If you have never done this before, you can either c'mon back to #PirchNewbie's and we'll help you do that. Or...

(note: if you'd like to use this newbie's setup file as a stand alone pirch program, instead of move/copying files...see the bottom section...proceede at your own pirch risk!)

>>>To load the new irc files into your present pirch program:
A. Click on the Popups tab above your main pirch window.
B. The tabs in that Popups window are: 1. Server Window
                                        2. Channel [Names List]
                                        3. Channel [Main Pane]
                                        4. Private Msg/DCC Chat

C. The files that will be loaded into that Popups tab, that are located in your main Pirch32 directory are:
                                        1. servpop.irc
                                        2. popups.irc
                                        3. chanpop.irc
                                        4. msgpop.irc
D. Click on the "Load" button on that window that opens, after you've selected a tab, and load the file with the corresponding number. To load the file, you can double click on it, and the file will auto load in the corresponding window.

C. After loading the irc files...click the "Save" button on the bottom of the Popups window...and they'll be set to go...almost.

E. The next file to load and save is the events.ini file, in the Events tab. Click the tab, the Events window opens. If there are things in the window, check the bottom of that Events window for this path: c:\pirch32\events.ini
if that is there, click "Save" button on bottom of that Events window.
If, the window is empty, click the "Load" button, and in the next window that opens, look for the: events.ini file, in your main pirch32 directory again, and double click on it and it will load into the Events tab, after you see things appear in that Events window... click the "Save" button.

F. Next, is to check the Aliases tab. Click the tab, if there is a list of names in the left window, click "Save". If there is nothing there, click "Load" and in the next window that opens, look for the: aliase.paf file, double click that file to load it and click the "Save" on the window.

Your Pirch is now ready to fly. All your Prefs tab setting are set already, click your Prefs tab above your screen to see if you'd like to add or change settings there, and for info on how to add stuff to that tab.
Right click in the channel window and nick list window to view your drop menu selections, you will find you have popups galore...and there are some popups in your Aliases tab also...you can peruse the aliases tab and highlight the names in the left window, to check out if its a popup in the rightside window. To run a popup from your Aliases tab, the command you type in your typing box is: /nameofpopup
Example: you will see a name in the left window list of: LEET
to use this "aliase" you would type: /leet testing testing hello!
and hit return...as an example.
DO NOT run any of the names in that list in an open channel...without having tested it first in your own private channel. To create a private channel to test these features in, type: /join #nameyouwant ...and you will create that channel with the name of your choosing.
You can always stop by #PirchNewbie's and we'll be happy to help you with your pirching. Also, READ YOUR PIRCH HELP FILES.
Have Fun with your PIRCH.

Do Not Attempt The Following, unless you are more experienced with your pirch and your computer. If you do...you were warned. 8-)
[>>>The Newbie's setup file is also a stand-alone pirch "script", if it has the pirch32.exe file copied to it. You can simply copy the pirch32.exe file from your pirch32 directory to the c:\Newbie's directory to run the newbie's setup file as your main pirch program. You will have to find the "pirchutl.ini" file in Your Main Windows Directory, and either delete it, or change its name, or some of your old pirch information will be lost, if you delete it, you'll simply have to reenter some info again. Pirch32.exe creates that file on initial startup. So, when you want to use your old pirch program, rename the old "pirchutl.ini" file back to original.
You can change the name of the newbie's directory to "pirch32" if you want, and change the name of your old pirch to...maybe: pirch32B ??? juss a suggestion.
You can have as many pirchutl.ini files as you have different pirch programs, you'd just have to rename a file back to the original "pirchutl.ini", to use the corresponding pirch and have some of its info for it intact.
Double click on that pirchutl.ini file, and notepad will open automatically, and you can see what info it contains for your pirch.
If you use this "script" as your main pirch program, you'll still have to load all the files mentioned above into it...so, scroll back up after you've copied the pirch32.exe file to this newbie's directory, and started it up.
