LAU PA SAT, 15/5/99
Summary below contributed by Geraldine
Dear all,
Juz thought of updating u all abt the outing that we had yesterday, esp
for those who didn't turn up.
Well, here's the 'attendance': Yilin, Hon Choo, Huiling, Elaina,
Geraldine, Huiping, Meilin, Yongxiang, Weiping, Guohua. ( 10 people in
all, coincidence was, 5 were in dark colours, 5 in light!)
I must say the girls were pretty impressed with the guys' dressing...
they were more formally dressed compared to the past... ...
Anyway, though the outing was fixed at 5.30pm, as usual, we were only
able to set off at abt 6.15pm! Only 1 guy was at the meeting place
(though late too!)
Anyway, we had dinner at Lau Pa Sat as planned and after that, we
'wandered' off the ChinaPoint Square (I think), where Weiping had his
dinner and some had ice-cream while some had 'dou hua'.

Then, we went to Boat Quay and decided to fulfil our wish of going on a
'cruise' as a class only $2 for a two way trip! Cheap rt? On we hopped
onto the river taxi at Boat Quay, which will take us to Clarke Quay.
At CQ, we simply walked around and yes, again time for food... Weiping
queued (for ages, it seems) for the traditional 'tutu kueh'.
We finally decided to go back on the cruise, back to BQ. Guess what,
again another place for food and drinks -- the Coffee Connection. It was
already 9.40pm then.
But this time round, only some of us had drinks, while we juz rest and
talked...
I think we finally decided to bring the outing to an end at 10.30pm.
The final 'goodbyes' were plentiful as suddenly there seemed to be a lot
to say : The Big Walk, the 21km marathon, the next class outing etc...
3 went to the bus-stop while the rest headed for Raffles Place MRT
station.

Guess it's a pity that a lot couldn't come.
Never mind, there's always the next one, rt?
Hope those who went had fun!

Girls + KokKeong, enjoy ur hols and guys, ur NS...( except Hanwei of
cos...)

Cheers,
Geraldine
