Butterfly Janis & Alice
FASHION PAGES
So at first we thought we shouldn't  do one of these, because we're not really very graphic-oriented and we don't want to spend time with photography and stuff.  But then we kept seeing all these excellent sites, and cool new clothes, and even cooler old clothes, and so we decided to just do it.  If the no pics thing is a problem, let us know.....we want your input on this new venture, okay?  Great.  On to the fun stuff.  So far we've got great links to good fashion sites on the web, an opinion column, and in the near future we'll do feature articles.  Here goes nothing!
SITES TO SEE
hathathat.com-This is a very cool site with some very groovy hats!  Vintage, new, fancy-shmancy, every-day, goofy, classic, this girl has it ALL!  Alice bought a beautiful vintage hat here, for a reasonable price and shipped with UTMOST care.  Their catchphrase is "Hats for the individually trendy."  Readers, we think that's you.  Give it a shot, okay?  Say we sent you.

FashionDig.com-This is a big commercial sitewith vintage clothes  It's big and you'll probably find something pretty damn cool.

Sha Sha Fine Shoes-Warning-not for grown-ups.  Janis owns four pair.

allight.com-This one's for the healthy girls.  Don't worry though-nothing dorky or grandma-ish.  It's geared toward the Cosmo reader, so forgive the cheesy set-up and that dorky Star Jones pic.  There are some cute things in here.
WHAT WE BOUGHT
HA!  Janis is so MAD at us...we found out she shopped at the GAP!!!!!!!  Okay, so it was Gap Kids and it was for her niece, but still.  It's very un-Janis.  Anyhoots, she got her a cute little red leather purse with purple leather flowers on the strap.  Very sweet.  Then our little miss punk got herself some motorcycle boots with red and orange flames across the toes, then some over-the-knee argyle socks, and Butterfly bought one of those Delia's hats in fuzzy pink wool with two floppy ear-type things.  Alice snapped up a great black pea-coat and some charcoal-grey loafers.  She's a real risk-taker, that one.     Also amongst the three of us we purchased one lavender gangster hat, a red t-shirt, a leather jacket (thrift store, of course-five bucks!), and a blue sweater to replace Alice's beloved Periwinkle Cornflower, the only sweater to be named, loved, and sung to sleep.  Please don't ask us to elaborate...it's not pretty.  Suffice it to say a boyfriend is involved.  So, that's what we bought.
