Ed has a truly extraordinary skill with his painting and has the ability to capture the finest of detail in his paintings. His fine ability has yet to be recognized, but soon will be in areas of Central Ohio and places far beyond that area. I heartily com end the viewing of all of Ed's exhibits through his web site and you will have a chance to visit with Ed in person at Hayes Regional Arboretum, 801 Elks Road, Richmond, IN. on Saturday, October 16, 1999 and see an exhibit of about 20 of his paintings. Here's wishing all success to Ed, Regards, Steve

Ed, these are wonderful! What a treat! I really like your work; in particular, I like your portraits. The angles of perspective and the planes are compelling. I am guessing that you worked from photographs to get the more unusual perspectives of the guy in dreadlocks and the reclining guy (you?). Enj yed Peter's portrait and it must be Sally in pearls and white gown. I've always thought her features very gaelic, especially when she is smiling. Hayes House is wonderful; I like the composition of that painting very much, bringing the house to a close focus. The painting (or pastel?) of the two story frame house is more interesting for the rich textures and the way you framed it with the evergreen beside it and the colored canopy behind. Love the tulips, I can feel the soft sleek petals; the elegant lily, the luscious rhodendron are also very sensual. And I remember the stems of the black-eyed susans in the clear bowl! Thank you for inviting me. I'm thrilled to see this exhibit; very impressed with your work and with Tom's! The chance to visit exhibits on-line is one of the internet's greatest gifts. A friend of mine sent me a card to announce an opening in Chevy Chas , MD, highlighted the website and noted, "see exhibit" which I did and I return there often. www.marin-pricegalleries.com Congratulations! Rose
