Only YOU Can Stop The Terror!

What is the goal of terrorism?

The goal of terrorism is to strike fear, cause terror. That's exactly what the September 11th attack on America did. Previous notions that awful things like war and terrorist attacks wouldn't happen this close to home have been abandoned. The terrorists won. It's true; our lives will never be the same. Fear has spread throughout the world. If it could happen in the United States, it could happen everywhere.

What we need to do now is stand together. Stand strong. Stand united, and show these terrorists that they will not win.

The threat of biological warfare is one of the biggest fears now. Going out and buying gas masks won't help. The way I see it is this: if they are going to do something, either biological or otherwise there is nothing we can do about it that isn't already being done. Worrying yourself sick and staying up nights not being able to sleep with worry will not keep you safe. If there is biological warfare, by the time the first symptoms start showing it is already too late. We have to have faith and trust in the Government. With the heightened security everyone is on the lookout. In all wars there are casualties. Whether people are shot, bombed, or infected with disease, war isn't war without them. We must expect and accept this fact. We choose to fight back against terrorism, now we must expect to pay the price. The only thing we can do is stop being afraid.

What we can do to stop the terror:

• Proudly display a flag (if you can't find one in stores, then make one!)
• Choose not to be afraid
• Go about your lives as normally as you can
• Visit New York to show your support
• Keep your travel plans
• Give blood (American Red Cross)
• Donate money (Helping.org)
• Help your fellow Americans
• Be united

Every person has to make a choice. They can choose to live in fear, or they can choose to stand strong and show these terrorists that they may have won the battle, but they will not win the war!

We can choose be victims or we can be survivors. I choose to be a survivor. Which do you choose?
