U.S Navy Submarines


 
USS Holland, the U.S Navy's first submarine, was purched in 1900.  S-Class submarines were designed during WW1.
Gatto Class submarines played a key role in the Pacific during WW2.
Los Angeles Class attack submarines, armed with "smart" torpedes and cruise missiles, are nuclear powered. Ohio Class submarine - also nuclear powered - carry more than half of America's strategic weapons .
