Day 3: We saw the ruins of Ancient Rome and I then visited Planet Hollywood with my great art history teacher, Ellen and some friends for lunch. Unfortunately Ellen got pickpocketed, but we had a pretty good time anyway.

The ruins of the great empire...

The Coliseum

Stephanie, Heidi, Ellen, Adriana, Toni, Matt, Jamie, Christie, Marc, Mike, and Angela!

Day 4: Christie, Angela and I rushed through the streets of Rome to catch a glimpse of some great sculptures around town, and then off to St. Peter's Basilica to see the Pope at noon.

Michelangelo's Moses, at the St. Peter in Chains church

Bernini's St. Theresa in Ecstacy.

I was pretty excited to be seeing the Pope in person - not that he was very close, but it was a powerful experience I will never forget.

Well, you can barely see him in this picture, but he is waving!

It was a memorable end to our trip to Rome, and I want to say that I love you, Angela and Christie, and I'll never forget that day, rushing around in Rome, and getting squished in the overcrowded bus...haha.
