September 18, 1998: "Finished a lovely day - Siena was so beautiful. I saw the most beautiful chapels and a lot of art. The Cathedral of Siena is so incredible, and so was the Palazzo Pubblico. Saw Duccio's Maesta & Lorenzetti's Good Government. I felt a spiritual power in that cathedral that I could never put into words. It was as if God was calling me. My favorite thing was the hill in San Gimignano that overlooks most of Tuscany. I took lots of pictures. There was also a medieval torture museum that was molto interesante."

Kevin was kind enough to let me take his picture when we visited Siena together

Some stunning views of the cathedral

The most incredible interior of the cathedral... (this came from a book, of course)

San Gimignano's Entrance - the Medieval Gate to the city

My group enjoys Gelato (supposedly the best in Italy) in the town square.

Katrina, Jamie and I toured the "Museum of Medieval Torture Devices" - and posed for a great picture!

"I'm feeling great up here in the pure Tuscan air!"
