High or Low Maintenance

I think most of it has to do with its size, which is pretty small, but my tattoo was very low maintenance. His first stage was just an outline. He didn't swell or bleed or puss or whatever open wounds do. He was a little sensitive the first 2-3 days but thats it.

I was supposed to put the Vitamin A & E gel on him. You have to keep a tattoo wet, like a fish. The will supposedly dry quickly and itch, maybe scab and peel. But that was all I had to do. I applied the gel twice a day and he healed fine. If a tattoo is bigger, deeper, and had color, it will probably need it more than twice a day. The second time I went and had him shaded, it was more detailed work and went deeper. The skin scabbed a little bit, but not too much, and itched only slightly. I can't imagine the pain and itching when people get those huge murals like on their back.
