| 1948 | Born in Tokushima prefecture, Japan. | |||||||||||||||||
| 1963 | Received the title "Hozan" by Naokata Ueda, The Cultural Living Treasure and fourth generation of Shigaraki-gama (kiln) and started working as a professional potter. | |||||||||||||||||
| 1965 | Accepted as personal apprentice work for and study with Uichi Shimizu, the Living National Treasure for eight years. | |||||||||||||||||
