A Perfect Night

From across the room our eyes did meet
All of a sudden I could feel my heart beat
I saw a smile form across your face
You walked over my way with such grace

The words I was thinking I would say
Only came out as a faint good day
The hello that followed was not by chance
And then you asked if I would like to dance

I felt as thought I was floating on air
Even after I did go back and sit in my chair
You did return and present me with a rose
It was a perfect red one that you had chose

As your hand brushed against my cheek
No words were there I could not speak
Your beautiful eyes were staring at me
I just could not imagine how this could be

Your vision is so pleasing to the eye
How did I get the attention of such a guy
I was looking at how your blue eyes did shine
As the waitress sat before me a glass of white wine

Your voice was like a melody to my ears
I wished this night would last for years
The night passed and did not seem very long
Then the band announced this was the last song

My hand you did take and lead me to the floor
We stayed and danced as others head for the door
As the song ended you leaned close and give me a kiss
The softness of your lips touched mine and it was such bliss

You thanked me for sharing such a nice evening
A big smile formed across my face just a beaming
You walked me to my car and helped me get in
As we said goood bye I said lets do this again
