Battlers

To be born rich would be nice,

But it is the battlers that pay the price,

Nothing served up on a silver spoon,

But always being promised the moon,

Not all have a roof over head,

    Or even a comfortable bed,

Being forced to live in a tent,

When they are unable to pay the rent,

Not like the rich, big houses and fancy cars,

These things are as far away, as the stars,

    Some cannot read or write,

Always willing to stand up and fight,

Working hard for everything they get,

Trying hard to ensure all bills are met,

As battlers slump to their knees,

The rich go through life, with relative ease,

    Battlers' life resembles a quagmire,

It is them one must admire,

No matter what the obstacle, they never stop,

That is why a battler, always ends up on top.
